The four standards including "Mechanical Mixing Equipment", "Anti-Frost Liquid Level Meter", "Equipment Lifting Ears" and "Lighted Sight Glasses" formulated by the Ministry's Equipment Design Technology Center and organized by relevant design institutes have been approved as recommended chemical industry standards after review. The numbers are detailed in the attachment and will be implemented from March 1, 1995.

Subject content and scope of application
This standard specifies the types, basic parameters, dimensions, technical conditions and usage regulations of lighted sight glasses.
This standard applies to various specifications and types of lighted sight glasses with nominal pressure not exceeding 1.0MPα, nominal diameter 100-150mm, medium leakage 0-200℃, and maximum sudden change temperature not exceeding 180℃.

The lighted sight glass consists of a sight glass and a sight glass lamp. The types include lighted sight glass (type A), lighted sight glass with flushing hole (type B), lighted sight glass with neck (type C), and lighted sight glass with flushing hole (type D).
The sight glass body is made of carbon steel, a mixture of carbon steel and stainless steel, and all stainless steel. There are two types of sight glass lamps: anti-corrosion type and explosion-proof type. The anti-corrosion type sight glass lamp occupies half of the area of ​​the sight glass, and the other half can be used to peek into the container (see Figure 3a). The anti-corrosion type sight glass lamp is matched with the sight glass, and there are three types of DN100-150. The explosion-proof type sight glass lamp occupies most of the area of ​​the sight glass, and a non-lighted sight glass is installed to peek into the container (see Figure 36). The explosion-proof type sight glass lamp has only one specification of DN100, which is suitable for sight glasses of different specifications.
