Introduction to standards:

This standard is applicable to the determination of the gloss of paint films on wooden furniture and other wooden furniture parts. A photoelectric gloss meter is used. The gloss value is expressed as a percentage of the ratio of the regular reflection light on the paint film surface to the regular reflection light on the standard board surface under the same conditions. This standard applies to the determination of the gloss value of the surface coatings on wooden furniture and other wooden furniture parts. A photoelectric gloss meter is used. The gloss value is expressed as a percentage of the ratio of the regular reflection light quantity on the surface of the coating film to the regular reflection light quantity on the surface of the standard plate under the same conditions. 1 Equipment and Materials
1.1 The photoelectric gloss meter requires the instrument reproducibility to be not less than 2%. It is recommended to use the GZ-Ⅱ photoelectric gloss meter. 1.2 Flannel or lens cleaning paper.
2 Sample
2.1 The specification is 250mm×200mm.
2.2 The sample should be stored for at least 10 days after the coating is completed and can be tested only after it is completely dry. 2.3 The surface of the sample should be flat, and the paint film should be free of defects such as scratches and bubbles. 2.4 When sending samples, a test report should be attached, including the name of the paint, a brief coating process, production time, etc. 3 Test conditions
The test room temperature is 20±2℃, and the relative humidity is 60%~70%. 4 Test steps
According to the instrument's instructions, select the range and calibrate the instrument pointer to the calibration value of the standard plate. 4.2 Wipe the surface of the sample clean, and take three test areas for each sample, one in the center of the sample and the other two at any position. 4.3 Place the probe on the test area and make the wood grain direction follow the direction of the incident and reflected light in the probe. Read the gloss value (the reading is accurate to 1%), and take the arithmetic mean of the 3-point readings. 4.4
4.5 Each time a sample is measured, calibrate it with a standard plate. Test report
The test report shall include the following contents:
Test date,
The name of the coating material of the sample and a brief coating process, c.
Storage time of the sample after coating,
Test results.
