The public information guidance system is an information system that guides people to carry out activities in public places. The system can be composed of the following interrelated subsystems: information guidance system for urban population (such as airports, railway stations, long-distance bus stations, ports, docks, etc.), information guidance system for urban transportation, information guidance system for urban public services and entertainment facilities, etc. The main guidance elements that constitute the public information guidance system are: graphic signs, text signs, plan diagrams, information boards, block guide maps, and portable printed materials used for guidance. Text signs are only used when the information to be conveyed cannot be expressed by graphic signs, or the meaning of graphic signs needs further explanation or supplement. Text signs can enrich and improve the information conveyed by the guidance system: 1 Scope

3 Terms and definitions
The terms and definitions established in GB/T15565 apply to this part of GB/T20501. 4 General
4.1 Text signs are divided into single text signs, text auxiliary signs and text supplementary signs. Text signs are composed of text, background color and (or) border.
4.2 The text in text signs should be Chinese first. When there are more than one written language, Chinese and English should be preferred. In autonomous regions of ethnic minorities, the local ethnic language can be used. There should be no more than three written languages. Standard Chinese characters should be used for Chinese; except for prepositions and conjunctions, the first letter of a word in English should be capitalized or all letters should be capitalized. 4.3 When two or more languages are used in a text mark, the meaning of the text mark should be based on the Chinese, and the Chinese should be visually more eye-catching than other words.
4.4 The Chinese font of the text mark should be bold, and the English font should be equal line font. 4.5° The text color and text background color of the text mark should not use the red specified in GB/T2893.1. 4.6 The text expression on the text mark should be concise and the meaning should be clear. 5 Design
5.1 Single text mark
5.1.1 A single text mark is a text mark that expresses an independent meaning only in words. In a single text mark, the words should be arranged horizontally. 5.1.2 The design basis (h) of the size of a single text mark is determined by the line height of the text: a) When the text mark contains only Chinese, h is the line height of a single line of Chinese (see Figure 1); 1
GB/T20501.2—2006
b) When the text mark contains Chinese and English, h is the line height (including line spacing) of two adjacent lines of Chinese and English text (see Figure 2); c) When the text mark contains a third language other than Chinese and English, h is also the line height (including line spacing) of two adjacent lines of Chinese and English text.
People's Hospital
Figure 1 Design basis (h) of the size containing only Chinese People's Hospital
The Peoples Hospital
Figure 2 Design basis (h) of the size containing both Chinese and English 5.1.3 When a single text mark has a border, the width of the border line should be 0.03h~0.05h (see Figure 3). 5.1.4 The appearance of the logo can be improved by rounding the corners of the border or the corners of the logo area formed by the background color, but the logo shape should be kept rectangular (see Figures 2 and 3).
5.1.5 Visually, the text should be substantial, evenly distributed and centered in the logo. When the text is arranged horizontally, the distance between the text and the upper and lower edges of the logo should not be less than 0.25h, and the distance between the text and the left and right edges of the logo should not be less than 0.3h (see Figure 4). 5.1.6 The distance between the characters of the text should be less than the distance between the text and the left and right edges of the logo. When the text is two or more lines, the line spacing should be less than the distance between the text and the upper and lower edges of the logo. 0.03h

Note: The dimensions marked in the figure are the maximum or minimum dimensions required, not the recommended dimensions. The meaning of the dimensions marked in other examples in the text is the same as this figure. Figure 3 Schematic diagram of the border line width of a single text logo with a border 0.3h

Figure 4 Schematic diagram of the distance between the text and the edge of the logo 5.2 Text auxiliary signs and text supplementary signs GB/T20501.2—2006
5.2.1 Text auxiliary signs and text supplementary signs should be designed together with graphic signs (see Figures 5 to 6) and should comply with 6.1. 5.2.2 Text auxiliary signs or text supplementary signs should not have a separate background color or border. 5.2.3 The text in the text auxiliary sign should first be selected from the meaning of the graphic symbol in GB/T10001. For example, if the meaning of the graphic symbol is "bathroom", the text in the text auxiliary sign should be "bathroom" (see Figure 5). 5.2.4 When the meaning of the graphic symbol in the standard cannot accurately express the specific information to be conveyed, the text in the text auxiliary sign should be formed according to the following rules:
a) Change from an abstract meaning to a specific name. For example, if the meaning of the graphic symbol is "male", the text in the text auxiliary sign can be "male bathroom".
Change from a general meaning to a specific name. For example, if the meaning of the graphic symbol is "hospital", the text in the text auxiliary sign can be b)
"×× Hospital".
When indicating a specific place or location, add the text representing the place or location to the meaning of the graphic symbol to form a specific name. For example, the graphic symbol means "haircut", and the text of the text auxiliary sign can be "barber shop". 5.2.5 The spacing between the characters on the text auxiliary signs and text supplementary signs, the spacing between the characters and the edge of the sign, etc. shall also comply with the relevant requirements of 6.1 and Chapter 8 of GB/T20501.1-2006. 6 Combination
6.1 Combination of single text signs
6.1.1 When single text signs are combined, each single text sign should have the same size design basis (h). 6.1.2 When the single text sign does not have an independent village background color or border: the distance between the upper and lower adjacent single signs should be The text in each sign should be left-aligned; the minimum distance between single-text signs should be 0.6h, the minimum distance between the text and the upper and lower edges of the sign should be 0.65h, and the minimum distance between the text and the left and right edges of the sign should be 0.45h (see Figure 7). When the combined single-text signs share a border, the border line width should comply with the provisions of 5.1.3.
6.1.3 When each single-text sign has an independent background color or border, the signs arranged up and down should have the same length and the text should be left-aligned (see Figure 8).

The arrow symbol and its meaning shall comply with the provisions of 6.3.1 in GB/T 20501.1-2006.
6.2.2 The single text mark and arrow symbol should be arranged horizontally, and their relative position relationship is: when the arrow points to the left (including the upper left and lower left), the text mark should be located on the right side of the arrow symbol; a)
When the arrow points to the right (including the upper right and lower right), the text mark should be located on the left side of the arrow symbol; b)
When the arrow points upward, the text mark should be located on the right side of the arrow symbol; c)
When the arrow points downward, the text mark can be located on the left or right side of the arrow symbol as appropriate. d)
6.2.3When the arrow symbol is on the left side of the mark, the multiple lines of text in the single text mark should be left-aligned (see Figure 9); when the arrow symbol is on the right side of the mark, the multiple lines of text in the single text mark should be right-aligned (see Figure 10). 6.2.4When the single text mark does not have an independent background color or border, the size of the arrow symbol should be 1.5h, and the distance between the arrow symbol and the adjacent text should be 0.2h~0.25h (see Figure 9). 6.2.5 When a single word mark has an independent village background color or border, the size of the arrow symbol should be equal to the size of the short side of the word mark, and the distance between the word mark and the arrow symbol should be 0.2h0.25h (see Figure 10). 4
