This standard applies to heat exchange coils, heaters, fan coils, air curtains, air treatment equipment, heat recovery devices, fume hoods, air outlets and other equipment for heating, ventilation and air conditioning.
This standard does not apply to HVAC equipment with its own cold or heat source, such as window and cabinet air conditioners and fuel, gas, electric heaters, etc.
2 Equipment and Types
2.1 Coil coil
Rib tube heat exchanger for air heating or cooling. The cold (hot) medium flows through the tube, and the air flows through the gaps between the rib tubes. 2.1.1 Heating coil (air heater) heating coil is a ribbed tube heat exchanger used for air heating.

2.2 Fan
