This standard is applicable to the bonding between filter paper and end cover of paper oil filter element for small and medium power internal combustion engine. 2 Reference standards JB/T5098 Technical conditions for adhesives for paper oil filters for internal combustion engines 3 Technical requirements 3.1 The adhesive surface of the filter end cover should be cleaned, dried and other surface treatments. JB/T5096-91 3.2 The adhesive should comply with the provisions of JB/T5098. 3.3 The proportion of two-component adhesives should be strictly formulated in accordance with the provisions of its instruction manual. If fillers need to be added, the fillers must be dried and sieved to remove particles with a diameter greater than 0.6mm. 3.4 The single-component adhesive should be fully stirred before use (a small amount of diluent can be added when necessary, such as a small amount of kerosene as a diluent for polyvinyl chloride resin adhesives) to reduce its viscosity to an appropriate level. 3.5 The room temperature adhesive should be used within 20~120min after mixing. 3.6 After the adhesive is injected into the end cover, it should be evenly distributed in the end cover. 3.7 After the solvent-containing adhesive is injected into the end cap, it must be air-dried. The exposure time should be determined according to the instructions for use and the temperature and ventilation conditions during bonding. 3.8 After the paper core is inserted into the end cap, it should be placed flat and a little pressure should be applied to its top. The relative position of the filter paper and the end cap should not be changed before the adhesive is cured. 3.9 The curing temperature and time of the adhesive should be determined according to the instructions for use and the size of the filter element. The preparation and curing conditions of several commonly used paper oil filter element adhesives are shown in Appendix A (reference).
