National Standard of the People's Republic of China Photometric characteristics of front fog lamps for motor vehicles1 Subject content and scope of application This standard specifies the photometric characteristics, test methods and inspection rules of front fog lamps for motor vehicles. This standard applies to various types of front fog lamps used on M and N category vehicles. 2 Reference standards GB4599 Photometric characteristics of motor vehicle headlamps GB4785 Number, position and light color of external lighting and signal devices for motor vehicles and trailers 3 Terminology 3.1 Front fog lamp GB 4660-—94 Replaces GB4660—84 A lamp used to improve the lighting of the road ahead of the vehicle and make it easier for oncoming vehicles to spot the vehicle in the case of fog, snow, rain or dust that hinders visibility. Provisions for the same type of front fog lamps Front fog lamps that do not differ from the following major aspects: a. Trade name and trademark, Characteristics of the optical system; Including additional accessories that can change the optical effect by reflection, refraction or absorption, c. The type of bulb used for semi-enclosed front fog lamps. 5 General provisions 5.1 Front fog lamps should be designed and manufactured to ensure that they can meet the use requirements and the photometric performance requirements of this standard under normal use conditions even if they are subject to vibration. 5.2 For the installation of the bulb of a semi-enclosed front fog lamp, it should be able to install the bulb in the correct position even in the dark, that is, the positioning pin can accurately enter the positioning groove (with appropriate size), and the bulb will be obviously skewed when installed in the wrong position. 5.3 The light color and chromaticity characteristics of the front fog lamp shall comply with the provisions of GB4785. 6 Requirements for enclosed light groups and bulbs used in front fog lamps 6.1 The voltage and power of enclosed light groups shall refer to the provisions for bulbs used in semi-enclosed front fog lamps. 6.2 The bulb products used in semi-enclosed front fog lamps shall comply with the provisions of Table 1. Approved by the State Bureau of Technical Supervision on September 28, 1994 192 Implementation on May 1, 1995 Bulb model Nominal voltage, V Nominal power, W Test voltage, V Under test voltage Luminous flux Lamp holder model (±25%) GB4660—94 Note: The data in brackets are only suitable for vehicles other than sedans. 7 Light distribution performance H. (low beam filament) (±20%±20% (±20% (±20%) P43t-38 7.1 The light distribution performance shall be measured on a vertical light distribution screen passing through the HV point 25 m in front of the reference center of the front fog lamp. The specific layout of the light distribution screen is shown in the figure. Unit: cm On the light-dark cut-off line 7.2 When the light is projected onto the light distribution screen, a clear horizontal light-dark cut-off line with a width of not less than 225 cm shall be produced on the left and right sides of the - line. The illuminance limits of each test area on the light distribution screen shall comply with the provisions of Table 2.7.3 Test area GB 4660—94 225 on both sides of the u-line The area enclosed by the vertical line at 1250 cm on both sides of the v-line, the hh line and the horizontal line 75 cm away from it The area enclosed by the vertical line at 1250 cm on both sides of the v-line, the hh line and the horizontal line 150 cm away from it (except area A) The vertical line 1250 cm on both sides of the -line and the area more than 150 cm upward from the hh line, but the luminous intensity of the area more than 15 (669.9 cm) upward from the hh line shall not be greater than 200cdThe area enclosed by the vertical line 450 cm on both sides of the v-line and the horizontal lines 75 cm and 150 cm downward from the hh line The area enclosed by the vertical lines 450 cm and 1000 cm on both sides of the -u line and the horizontal lines 75 cm and 150 cm downward from the hh line Illuminance limit 2) Note: 1) See the figure for details. 2) The illuminance limit on the boundary line of each zone shall comply with the requirements of the area where it is located; the illuminance limit on the boundary line shared by two zones shall comply with the more stringent limit requirements. 3) On any vertical line in the area, at least one point shall be found that meets the requirements of this limit. 7.4 Regardless of whether the front fog lamp is white or yellow, the measured illuminance of its light distribution shall comply with the provisions of Table 2. 7.5 In zones B and C, there shall be no obvious abrupt change in the illuminance between adjacent areas in the horizontal direction, so as not to affect good visibility. 7.6 The effective area of the illuminance test on the light distribution screen shall be contained in a square with a side length of 65mm. 8 Test method 8.1 The test darkroom, device and equipment shall comply with the provisions of GB4599. 8.2 Voltage and luminous flux during light distribution test. 8.2.1 For closed front fog lamps, light distribution tests are required to be carried out at nominal voltage. 8.2.2 For semi-enclosed front fog lamps, the photometric test shall be conducted with a standard bulb at the photometric flux specified in Table 3. Table 3 Bulb model Around 12V Incandescent lamp 8.3 Before the photometric test, the bulb or enclosed light group shall be ignited at the voltage used during the test so that its performance tends to be stable. 8.4 Aiming before photometric measurement 8.4.1 Vertical direction: The light cut-off line of the light beam shall be placed 50cm below the hh line. 8.4.2 Horizontal direction: The center of the brightest area of the light beam shall be placed on the - line. Inspection rulesWww.bzxZ.net 9.1 There are two types of photometric performance inspections for front fog lamps: a. Type inspection; Product consistency inspection. H. (Dipple Beam Filament) GB4660-94 9.2 The photometric performance test of semi-enclosed front fog lamps shall be carried out with standard bulbs. In case of objection, it is allowed to replace the standard bulbs and re-test. 9.3 The bulbs of semi-enclosed front fog lamps shall be certified products. 9.4 Type test of photometric performance of front fog lamps The same type of determination requirements of front fog lamps shall be in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 4 of this standard. 9.4.11 9.4.2 The manufacturer of the product shall provide: Three copies of drawings sufficient to identify the characteristics of the type of front fog lamp, including a detailed characteristic structure diagram of the light distribution mirror; a. Two sample front fog lamps (semi-enclosed front fog lamps shall also include bulbs). b. 9.4.3 Each sample lamp shall comply with the provisions of Chapters 5 and 6 of this standard. 9.4.4 The test shall be conducted in accordance with the test method in Chapter 8 of this standard. Each sample lamp shall comply with the provisions of Chapter 7 of this standard. 9.5 Product consistency test of front fog lamp photometric performance 9.5.1 For products that have passed the type inspection, the consistency of the products shall be determined by randomly selected sample lamps. The sampling method shall be specified separately. The randomly selected sample lamps shall comply with the provisions of Chapters 5 and 6 of this standard. 9.5.2 9.5.3 According to the test method in Chapter 8 of this standard, the randomly selected sample lamps shall comply with the provisions of Chapter 7 of this standard.
