This standard is based on the development of oil and gas field packers in my country and is revised from SY5105-86 "Classification and Model Compilation Method of Oil and Gas Field Packers".
The purpose of revising this standard is to improve the scientificity and applicability of the classification and model compilation method of packers. This standard mainly improves the definition of various types of packers in the original standard, removes the content of wedge-type packers, adds the "working temperature and working pressure difference" parameter in the model compilation method, and adds the "thermal" method in the setting and unsealing methods. At the same time, the format of the original standard is modified according to GB/T1,1--1993. From the date of entry into force, this standard will replace SY5105-86. This standard is proposed and managed by the Oil and Gas Production Professional Standardization Committee. The drafting unit of this standard is: Oil Production Technology Research Institute of Jianghan Petroleum Administration Bureau. The classification and model compiling method of packers used in the oil and gas fields This standard specifies the classification and model compiling method of packers used in oil and gas fields. This standard is applicable to various casing packers used in oil and gas fields. 2 Packer classification
2.1 Classification method
Classification is carried out according to the way the packer seals. 2, 2 Classification
2.2.1 Self-sealing type: A packer that achieves sealing by the interference fit between the outer diameter of the packer and the inner diameter of the casing and the working pressure difference. Replaces SY5105-—86
2.2.2 Compression type: A packer that compresses the packer by axial force to enlarge the outer diameter of the packer to achieve sealing. 2.2.3 Expansion type: A packer that seals by expanding the outer diameter of the packer by radial force acting on the inner cavity of the packer. 2.2.4 Combination type: A packer that seals by any combination of self-sealing type, compression type, and expansion type. 3 Packer model compilation

According to the six parameters of the packer classification code, fixing method code, setting method code, unsealing method code and the maximum outer diameter of the packer steel body, working temperature/working pressure difference, the model is compiled in sequence. Example 1: Y211-114-120/15 type packer, indicating that the packer is compression type, one-way slip fixation: lifting and lowering pipe string to set and lifting and lowering pipe string to release, the maximum outer diameter of the steel body is 114mm, the working temperature is 120℃, and the working pressure is 15MPa. Example 2: YK341-114-90/100 type packer means the packer is a combination of compression and expansion, suspended or fixed, hydraulically set, and released by lifting and lowering the pipe string. The maximum outer diameter of the steel body is 114mm, the operating temperature is 90℃, and the operating pressure difference is 100MPa.
