This standard applies to the joining of 16mm and 35mm roll microfilm with image. 2 Joining of Microfilm 2.1 Width of Microfilm Joining Part GB/T12355--90 The width of the microfilm joining part (see dimension A in Figure 1) shall not exceed 0.05mm beyond the original width of the film. The lateral displacement of the edges of the two microfilm segments to be joined shall not exceed 0.05mm (see dimension n in Figure 1). Even if there is a difference in the lateral shrinkage of the two microfilm segments, it should be kept within the permitted range. To keep the film edge smooth, the dislocated edge can be trimmed within the displacement range. The film width at the connection part of the historical matrix 2.2 Thickness at the connection part of the microfilm When the microfilm is overlapped or butted, the thickness of the connection part exceeding the maximum thickness of the original film shall not exceed 0.15mm (dimension B in Figures 2 and 3). The unbonded part of the microfilm end shall not exceed 1mm. That is, when measuring a microfilm segment to be connected, the measurement should be made from the connection point to 150mm from the other microfilm segment, and the offset value should not be greater than 2.65mm (see Figure 4, dimensions). This offset should not be added up when there are multiple connections on the same microfilm. 2.65nm Figure 4 Tilt angle of film edge 2.5: Tensile and breaking strength The tension applied to the film by the sliding clutch is 0.23N/m, and the running speed is 1.5m/s. The joint should be able to withstand 100 stops without disconnection. Note: The experimental environment conditions are relative humidity 50%±15% and temperature 23±5℃. Before the experiment, the sample is placed in the above environment for 21 hours. A2 Tape When using tape for connection or using tape as a fastener, the tape applied to the microfilm information area should be highly transparent. No air bubbles or debris should appear under the tape. The adhesive of the tape should not contain chemical substances that may damage the microfilm image. There should be no overflow of adhesive during long-term or long-term preservation and use. A3 Fusion If the fusion can meet the requirements of this standard, this standard does not restrict the use of fusion to connect microfilm. Appendix B Connection process (Supplement) The connection of microfilm should not affect the integrity of the image, nor should it affect the retrieval of light spots or other coding symbols. A gap of at least 25mm should be left between the image and the connection part as much as possible.
