4 Technical requirements

Instructions for selecting stainless steel manholes and hand holes
1 This standard only applies to austenitic stainless steel normal pressure manholes and hand holes, and also applies to ferritic stainless steel (0Cr13A1, 0Cr13). Where "stainless steel" is indicated in the standard construction drawings, the specific materials and welding materials are the same as the main materials of the container. 2 The density of stainless steel in the standard is calculated as 7930kg/m3. If stainless steel of other specific gravity is used, the total mass of the manhole and hand hole may not be modified. 3 The section is considered to be non-corrosive. If the medium used is corrosive, the thickness S of the section is allowed to increase. The increased S should be indicated and the stainless steel mass and total mass of the manhole and hand hole should be modified at the same time.
4 The hand hole is designed according to four types of sealing surfaces, namely FF (full plane), RF (raised surface), MFM (concave and convex surface) and TG (grooved surface). 5 Gasket
Asbestos rubber sheet is used for nominal pressure PN1.6MPa and below, which can be changed according to the medium conditions, but it should be noted in the assembly drawing (the changed gasket can only use non-metallic soft gaskets).
Metal spiral wound gaskets are used for nominal pressure PN2.5MPa and PN4.0MPa. Asbestos rubber sheet gasket (GB3985XB350) with HG20606 standard is used for non-metallic soft gaskets. Metal spiral wound gaskets (code-named D type) with inner and outer rings are used for protruding surfaces. Metal spiral wound gaskets (code-named B type) with inner rings are used for concave and convex surfaces. The materials of inner and outer rings are OCr18Ni9 (code-named 2), the material of metal belt is 0Cr18Ni9 (code-named 2), and the non-metallic material is flexible graphite (code-named 2). The material of the gasket is allowed to change, but it should be indicated in the assembly drawing. Normal pressure quick opening handhole and normal pressure manhole adopt rubber sheet, the material standard is GB5574, code-named 4710.

Preparation Instructions
1 Overview
The original Ministry of Chemical Industry standard "Stainless steel manhole" (HGJ503~513--86) has been used for more than ten years since 1986. Since the adopted standard is constantly updated, it can no longer meet the design needs. According to the requirements of the China Chemical Engineering Survey and Design Association, the National Chemical Equipment Design Technology Center Station organized Jilin Chemical Engineering Company to revise and compile the "Stainless Steel Manhole" (HG21594-21604-1999) standard. 2 Nominal pressure
