Some standard content:

GB/T17278—1998
This standard is formulated for the first time in China. This standard is one of the standards related to digital topographic map products and is the framework of digital topographic map product standards.
This standard is proposed by the State Administration of Surveying, Mapping and Geoinformation.
This standard is under the jurisdiction of the State Administration of Surveying, Mapping and Geoinformation.
The drafting unit of this standard: China Academy of Surveying and Mapping. The main drafters of this standard: Shi Weijun and Su Shanwu. 354
GB/T17278—1998
The development of geographic information system technology has broadened the application field of surveying and mapping information, promoted the development of geographic information industry, and digital surveying and mapping products are rapidly entering the production and life fields. Digital topographic maps are flexible to use, easy to extract information and process data, with various forms and short update cycles. In order to meet the needs of production and application of digital topographic map products in my country, this standard stipulates the classification, naming, composition and other related issues of digital topographic map products from the overall digital topographic map product series. 355
