This standard specifies the classification structure, categories, codes and descriptions of occupations in China. This standard is applicable to various censuses, surveys and statistics, administrative management and domestic and foreign information exchanges based on occupational classification. This standard specifies the classification structure, categories, codes and descriptions of occupations in China. This standard is applicable to various censuses, surveys and statistics, administrative management and domestic and foreign information exchanges based on occupational classification.
This standard replaces GB/T6565-1999 "Occupational Classification and Codes".
Compared with GB/T6565-1999, this standard has the following major changes:
--- New occupations are added to the description of 68 occupations while the main structure of the standard remains unchanged;
--- In order to facilitate the search for revisions to this standard, a ? is added before the revised sub-category, and the newly added occupations are underlined; ---
According to the requirements of the "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Writing Rules of Standards", the standard format, scope of application of the standard and the writing method of the code of "Occupational Classification and Code" have been revised.
This standard is jointly proposed by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, and the National Bureau of Statistics. This standard is under the jurisdiction
of the National Technical Committee for Information Classification and Coding Standardization.

GB/T 6565-2009
This standard specifies the classification structure, categories, codes and descriptions of occupations in my country. This standard is applicable to various censuses, statistics and administrative management and domestic and international information exchanges based on occupational classification. 2 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this standard. Occupation
The category of social work performed by employees to obtain their main source of livelihood. 3 Principles of occupational classification
Classification is carried out according to the same nature of the work performed by the employed population. 4 Occupational classification and coding method
4.1 Occupational classification
It is divided into three levels: major category, medium category and minor category. There are 8 major categories, 65 categories and 410 minor categories. The order and names of the 8 major categories are as follows: First major category: Investors of state organs, party and mass organizations, enterprises and institutions Second major category: Professional and technical personnel
Third major category: Office staff and related personnel Fourth major category: Commercial and service personnel
Fifth major category: Production personnel in agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, fishery and water conservancy Sixth major category: Production and transportation equipment operators and related personnel Seventh major category: Soldiers
Eighth major category: Other practitioners who are inconvenient to classify 4.2 Code structure
Except for the seventh and eighth major categories which are represented by letters, the others are represented by numbers. The first digit represents the major category; the second digit represents the medium category, and the second digit represents the minor category. The major category and the medium category are separated by a short line "-" to distinguish them. 4.3 Coding methodwwW.bzxz.Net
The first category is represented by 0; the second category is represented by 1/2, occupying two numbers 1 and 2; the third, fourth and fifth categories occupy one number 3, 4 and 5 respectively; the sixth category is represented by 6/7/8/9, occupying four numbers 6, 7 and 8.9; the seventh category is represented by the letter X; the eighth category is represented by the letter Y.
5 Instructions for use
5.1 For those who have more than one occupation at the same time, the occupation with longer working time is their occupation; if the length of time cannot be determined, the occupation with higher economic income is their occupation. For those who are engaged in more than one occupation in the same workplace, their occupation is the more technical work. 5.2 Apprentices should be divided according to the types of work they study and engage in. 1

5.3 For those who have various professional and technical positions and are also administrative leaders, they should be classified according to their administrative positions. 5.4 For leaders who hold both party and administrative positions, they are classified according to their main positions. 6 Occupational classification, codes and explanations
