4.1 Inspection responsibilities
Unless otherwise specified , the contractor shall be responsible for completing all inspections specified in this specification. When necessary, the ordering party or the superior appraisal agency or its authorized unit has the right to inspect any inspection item described in the specification. 4.1.1 Responsibility for Conformity
All products must meet all requirements of Chapter 3 and Chapter 5 of the specification. The inspections specified in this specification should become an integral part of the contractor's entire inspection system or quality program. If the contract includes inspection requirements not specified in this specification, the contractor shall also ensure that the products submitted for acceptance meet the contract requirements. Quality consistency inspection sampling does not allow the submission of products that are known to be defective, nor can the ordering party be required to accept defective products. 4.2 Inspection classification
The inspection classification of this specification is as follows:
a. Identification inspection
Identification inspection should be carried out when the product is finalized or qualified (QA) (see 4.4). When one of the following situations occurs, first article inspection can be used instead of identification inspection: - There are current detailed specifications but no qualified identification approval documents: - There are qualified identification approval documents, but they are not effective in determining production: - There are qualified identification approval documents but delivery is required before completion. b. Quality consistency inspection
Quality consistency inspection is divided into four inspection groups: A, B, C, and D. Groups A and B are batch inspections, and groups C and D are periodic inspections.
Group A inspection is a non-destructive test conducted on samples in an inspection batch or all products produced to verify whether the product meets the requirements of the specification. Group A inspection is used to check the characteristics that are most susceptible to changes in production process or production skills, as well as the performance that is critical to achieving the predetermined requirements. - 3 -
SJ20791—2000
Group B inspection -· Generally, it is a non-destructive test that is more complicated or requires more testing time than Group A inspection; Group B inspection is used to check the characteristics that are more affected by the quality of parts or equipment and less affected by production process or production skills. and those performances that require special tooling or special environments. The number of samples to be tested is less than that of Group A, and the tested samples can be delivered as products with little or no refurbishment. Group C inspections are generally periodic destructive tests used to check characteristics related to product design and materials. Group C inspections are more complex than Group A inspections, usually requiring simulation of the working environment, and are usually damaged or require major refurbishment after testing. The number of samples required for Group C inspections is less than that of Group B inspections. And it is related to production output or production cycle. Samples tested by Group C need to be significantly refurbished before they can be delivered as products. Group D inspections are destructive inspections, or long-term tests that consume all or a considerable portion of the design life. Group D inspections can only be performed on a small number of samples. The number of samples tested is related to production output or production cycle. Samples tested by Group D are not allowed to be delivered as products. 4.3 Inspection conditions
Unless otherwise specified, all inspections shall be conducted at a temperature of 15-35°C, a relative humidity of 45%-75% and an air pressure of 86kPa-106kPa. 4.4 First article inspection
First article inspection shall be conducted in accordance with the provisions of Table 2 or Table 3. Unless otherwise specified, the test samples shall be drawn from the products delivered in accordance with the contract.
4.5 Qualification inspection
Qualification inspection includes all inspection items specified in the detailed specification: The items in the "Qualification inspection" clause of the detailed specification shall be those characteristics that are less affected by the production process and production skills and are related to the product design structure and materials, as well as certain characteristics that need to be tightened, and characteristics with special environmental requirements. The samples for qualification inspection shall represent the normal production of the manufacturer and shall be samples drawn from current producers. To maintain the qualification of appraisal, one of the following measures can be selected: The contractor shall submit a test document every 12 months from the date of appraisal approval: a.
All appraisal tests shall be re-performed:
The contractor shall provide a qualified certificate.
