JB/T4700~4707——2000 Revision Notes
JB/T4700~4707-2000
This standard revise JB4700~4707—1992.
This standard has made the following changes based on the feedback and suggestions since the implementation of JB4700~4707-1992: 1 The relationship between this standard and the flange design method in the steel pressure vessel standard CB150 has been clarified. 2 All referenced standards have been updated to the latest version. 3 The long neck butt welding flange standard has been improved: a) The applicable temperature range of the standard has been expanded to -70℃. Supplementary adjustments have been made to Table 2 (flange, gasket, stud, nut material matching table) and Table 7 (maximum allowable working pressure of long neck flange) in the standard;
b) Adapt to the use requirements of 3mm corrosion allowance for flange materials; In order to meet the needs of connecting with thinner round cylinders, Table 3 (long neck butt welding flange total height H correction table) has been added; c
The inspection requirements for the butt welds between long neck flanges and round cylinders have been modified. d)
Make the Type B flange meet the requirements of 3mm corrosion allowance. 4
Modify the impact energy requirements of stud materials.
6 It is allowed to modify the individual dimensions of standard flanges. 7 The structural dimensions of each standard gasket and the connection dimensions of each standard flange are not changed in the new standard. The dimensions of a few flanges are adjusted.
This standard replaces JB4700~4707-1992 from the date of implementation. This standard is proposed by the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Pressure Vessels, and is under the jurisdiction of the Design Subcommittee and the Manufacturing Subcommittee of the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Pressure Vessels.
The drafting units of this standard are: Sinopec Beijing Petrochemical Engineering Company, Hefei General Machinery Research Institute, Sinopec Beijing Design Institute, Sinopec Luoyang Petrochemical Engineering Company.
The main drafters of this standard are: Sang Rubao, Yao Zuoquan, Xu Xien, Feng Qingxiao, Huang Shaochen. The National Technical Committee for Standardization of Pressure Vessels is responsible for the interpretation of this standard. 1

3 Selection principles and corrosion allowances applicable to standards JB/T4700-2000
3.1 Flanges of this standard should be used as the flanges of pressure vessels first. Flanges selected according to this standard can be exempted from the relevant calculations of GB150. 3.2 The applicable corrosion allowance of type B flanges in this standard is not more than 2mm. When the corrosion allowance exceeds 2mm but not more than 3mm, the thickness of the short section should be thickened by 2mm. The applicable corrosion allowance of long neck butt welding flanges is not more than 3mm. 4 Flange classification, material matching, working temperature and maximum allowable working pressure, structural dimensions 4.1 Flange classification and series parameters are specified in Table 1. 4.2 Matching of flange, gasket, stud and nut materials 4.2.1 The matching and operating temperature range of type A flat welding flange, type B flat welding flange and long neck butt welding flange (hereinafter referred to as type A, type B, long neck flange), gasket, stud and nut materials shall comply with the provisions of Table 2. 4.2.2 The hardness of the stud (Brinell hardness, HB) shall be 20~30 higher than that of the nut. The same strength level of materials can be achieved through different heat treatment states.
4.3 Working temperature, maximum allowable working pressure and structural dimensions of flanges 4.3.1 The working temperature of type A flange is higher than -20~300℃, and the working temperature of type B flange is higher than -20~350℃. The maximum allowable working pressure is shown in Table 6. The structural dimensions are in accordance with the provisions of JB/T4701 and JB/T4702 respectively. The operating temperature of type B flange with liner ring shall be determined by the designer according to the situation.
4.3.2 The working temperature of the long neck flange is -70~450℃, and its maximum allowable working pressure is specified in Table 7. The structural dimensions are in accordance with the provisions of JB/T4703. The operating temperature of the bushing flange is determined by the designer according to the actual situation. 4.3.3 When selecting a standard flange, the working temperature of the selected flange should not be lower than the design temperature of the flange under the service conditions; the maximum allowable working pressure of the flange should not be less than the calculated pressure of the flange under the service conditions. When the flange is subjected to axial tension or bending moment, its function should be considered separately.
4.4 Gasket
Gaskets are in accordance with the provisions of JB/T4704, JB/T4705, and JB/T4706.5 Studs and nuts
Studs shall comply with the provisions of JB/T4707.
Nuts shall comply with the provisions of GB/T3098.2, GB/T3077, CB/T5779.2. 5. Codes, markings and marking examples
