Some standard content:

GB/T8298—2001
The technical content of this standard is completely based on ISO124:1997 "Determination of total solid content of latex". The main difference from ISO124 is that this standard adopts the "Determination of total solid content of natural latex" equivalently, while the technical content of the "Determination of total solid content of synthetic latex" is not retained in this standard. The main differences between this standard and the previous version are:
The drying temperature is changed from (70±2)℃ or (100±2)℃ to 70℃±2℃ or 105℃±5℃; the difference between the two weighings before and after the final repeated drying is changed from 1mg to 0.5mg; the two chapters on principles and instruments and the precision of the test method in Appendix A are added. The difference between this standard and ISO 124 is that it does not include the content related to synthetic latex. This standard is the second edition, and the first edition was first issued in November 1987. Appendix A of this standard is a prompt appendix. This standard was proposed by the Ministry of Agriculture of the People's Republic of China. This standard is under the jurisdiction of the Natural Rubber Subcommittee of the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Rubber and Rubber Products. The drafting units of this standard are: South China Tropical Agricultural Products Processing Design Institute, Food Quality Supervision, Inspection and Testing Center of the Ministry of Agriculture (Zhanjiang). The main drafters of this standard are: Xu Kui, Huang Maofang, Chen Xiaoguang, Wang Guilan, Chen Ying. This standard replaces GB/T8289-1987 from the date of implementation. This standard is entrusted to the Natural Rubber Subcommittee of the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Rubber and Rubber Products for interpretation. 97

ISO Foreword
ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies (ISO member bodies). The work of formulating international standards is usually carried out by ISO technical committees. Any member body interested in the project of an established technical committee has the right to participate in the committee. All governmental and non-governmental international organizations in contact with ISO may also participate in this work. ISO cooperates closely with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) on all aspects of electrotechnical standardization. Draft international standards adopted by technical committees are circulated to member bodies for voting. Publication as an international standard requires at least 75% of the voting member bodies to vote.
International Standard ISO124 was prepared by Technical Committee ISQ/TC45 Rubber and Rubber Products SC3 Rubber Industry Raw Materials (including Latex) Subcommittee.
This fourth edition of the standard amends the third edition (ISO124:1992), abolishes and replaces the third edition 98

Warning: Personnel using this standard should be familiar with the operating procedures of regular laboratories. This standard does not purport to cover all safety issues that may arise from the use of this standard. It is the responsibility of the user to establish appropriate safety and health systems and ensure compliance with relevant national regulations. 1 Scope
This standard specifies the method for determining the total solid content of concentrated natural latex. This standard applies to concentrated natural latex produced from Hevea brasiliensis latex. 2 Referenced standards
The provisions contained in the following standards constitute the provisions of this standard through reference in this standard. When this standard was published, the versions shown were valid. All standards are subject to revision, and parties using this standard should explore the possibility of using the latest versions of the following standards. GB/T8290--1987 Sampling of concentrated natural latex (neqISO123:1985) 3 Principle
Place the sample in an oven and heat it to constant weight under specified atmospheric pressure conditions. The total solid content is determined by the change in mass before and after heating.
4 Apparatus
Ordinary laboratory instruments.
4.1 Flat bottom dish, about 60 mm in diameter.
4.2 Oven, capable of controlling the temperature at 70℃±2℃ or 105℃±5℃. 4.3 Analytical balance, capable of reading to 0.1 mg.
5 Sampling
Sampling shall be carried out in accordance with one of the methods specified in GB/T8290. 6 Operating procedures 11
Weigh the flat bottom blood (4.1) to an accuracy of 0.1 mg. Add 2.0 g ± 0.5 g of latex and weigh to an accuracy of 0.1 mg. Gently rotate the pan to allow the latex inside to cover the pan. If necessary, add 1 mL of distilled water or water of equivalent purity and rotate to mix the water and latex evenly.
Instructions for use:
17 This standard does not retain the operating method for synthetic latex in 6.2 of ISO124. Approved by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China on July 20, 2001. Implemented on December 1, 2001. GB/T 8298—2001. Place the flat-bottomed blood in an oven so that it is horizontal, and heat it at 70℃±2℃ for 16h or 105±5℃ for 2h, or until the sample is no longer white, take it out, cool it to room temperature in a desiccator, and weigh it. Then put it in an oven and heat it at 70℃±2℃ for 30min, or heat it at 105℃±5℃ for 15min, take it out, cool it to room temperature in a desiccator, and weigh it again. Repeat this operation for 30min or 15min until the difference between the two weighings is less than 0.5mg. If the rubber film is too sticky after heating at 105℃±5℃, change to 70℃±2℃ and re-measure. Note: Stickiness is the phenomenon of oxidation of rubber when it is exposed to air with too high temperature. 7 Expression of results
Total solid content (TSC) is calculated according to formula (1) and expressed as mass fractionTSC (%) =
Where: mo-
Mass of the test material, g;
Mass after drying,
The difference between the results of two parallel determinations should not be greater than 0.2%. 8 Test report
The test report should include the following:
a) This standard number;
b) The temperature conditions used for drying;
c) All details required to identify the sample;
d) The measurement result and its unit;
e) Any abnormal phenomenon noticed during the measurement;m
f) Any operation that is not included in this standard but is considered to be applicable;g) Test date.
