Coding requirements for hazardous waste storage and transportation units
This standard specifies the coding principles, coding rules, and carrier requirements for hazardous waste storage and transportation units GB/T38920—2020
This standard applies to the information processing, real-time monitoring, and tracking and tracing of hazardous waste management by waste-generating units, storage units, transportation units, disposal units, and regulatory units in the management process of non-tank truck-loaded and non-bulk hazardous wastes. The coding of hazardous waste storage and transportation units should follow the principles of uniqueness, stability and scalability specified in GB/T70271

Code structure
The hazardous waste storage and transportation unit code consists of 3 segments of 28 digits. The composition structure is shown in Figure 1, where: the first segment is the participant location code, 13 digits; the second segment is the hazardous waste code, 8 digits; the third segment is the container code, 7 digits. Code structure of hazardous waste storage and transportation unit
Participant location code is used to uniquely identify the location of hazardous waste output. It is a 13-digit number. For details of the structure, please refer to GB/T16828. 5.3 Hazardous waste code
The hazardous waste code is an 8-digit number. It adopts the digital part of the waste code in the "National Hazardous Waste List", see Appendix A. 5.4 Container code
The container code is divided into three sections. The code structure is shown in Figure 2. M

When using one-dimensional barcodes, select G The barcode specified in B/T15425 shall comply with the requirements of GB/T18348, see B.1 in Appendix B;
When using a two-dimensional barcode, a code system with national or international standards shall be selected to comply with the requirements of GB/T23704, see B.2;
When using a radio frequency tag, a label that complies with national or international standards shall be selected, and the label surface shall have a clear identification code that is consistent with the label content;
The carrier shall be firmly pasted, hung or printed on the outer surface of the container until the end of the management cycle. 6.2 Application identifier
When using a one-dimensional barcode or a two-dimensional barcode as a data carrier, the hazardous waste storage and transportation unit code shall be expressed in combination with the corresponding application identifier. Among them, the application identifier of the participant location code is "414"; the application identifier of the waste code is "90" and the application identifier of the container code is "254". See Table 3.
