Introduction to standards:

This standard specifies the maximum permissible concentration of acetaldehyde in the air of a workplace and the monitoring and testing methods. This standard applies to all types of industrial enterprises that produce and use acetaldehyde. Some standard content:

GB18529—2001
This standard is formulated for the first time based on the on-site labor hygiene and occupational epidemiological survey data, and with reference to foreign toxicological research data and occupational exposure limits: it is a health standard for workplace environmental monitoring and health supervision. This standard shall be implemented from May 1, 2002. Appendix A of this standard is the appendix of the standard.
This standard is proposed by the Ministry of Health of the People's Republic of China. The responsible unit for drafting this standard is Beijing Institute of Labor Hygiene and Occupational Disease Prevention and Control: The participating drafting unit is the Industrial Hygiene Section of the Safety and Technology Department of Daqing Petrochemical General Plant.
The main drafters of this standard are Guang Qingsheng, Cui Mingzhen, and Dong Dinglong. This standard is entrusted to the Institute of Labor Hygiene and Occupational Diseases of the Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine for interpretation. 624

This standard specifies the maximum permissible concentration of acetaldehyde in the air of workplace and the monitoring and inspection methods. This standard is applicable to various industrial enterprises that produce and use acetaldehyde. Hygiene requirements
The maximum permissible concentration of acetaldehyde in the air of workplace is 45mg/m. 3 Monitoring and inspection methods
This standard recommends the use of gas chromatography, see Appendix A (Appendix to the standard). Approved by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China on December 4, 2001-rrKAoNrKAca-

Determination of acetaldehyde concentration in air
Acetaldehyde in air is separated by polyethylene glycol 20 mesh chromatographic column and tested by flame ionization detector. The retention time is used for qualitative analysis and the peak height is used for quantitative analysis. A2 Instruments
A2.1 Syringe: 1 ml., J00 ml..
A2.2 Gas chromatograph: with flame ionization detector. Chromatographic column. Column length 3m. Inner diameter 4 mm. Stainless steel column. Polyethylene glycol 20: 6201 carrier 20, 100. Column temperature: 75C.
Vaporization chamber overflow: 150℃.
Detection chamber temperature: 150℃.
Carrier gas (nitrogen) flow rate: 38mL/min. A3 Reagents
A3.1 Acetaldehyde: chromatographic grade.
A3.2 Polyethylene glycol 20: chromatographic stationary liquid, A3.36201 carrier: 6080.
A4 Sampling
Use a 100mL syringe to draw and flush the sample point with on-site air three times, then take an air sample, put on a rubber cap, and place the syringe vertically. Analyze immediately after sampling.
A5 Analysis steps
45.1 Control test: Bring a 100nL syringe to the site, extract 100ml. clean air, and analyze it at the same time as the sample as a control. A5.2 Sample processing: Place the syringes of the sample and the control sample vertically, and record the temperature and atmospheric pressure of the laboratory. A5. 3 Drawing of the standard curve: Use a micro-syringe to take a certain amount of acetaldehyde at 18 ℃ (1 μl. The mass of acetaldehyde is 0.783mg at 18 C), inject it into a 100nL syringe, and use clean air to make a standard gas of a certain concentration. Take the above standard gas and use clean air to release it into 0.005, 0.05, 0.1 and 0.2g/ml acetaldehyde standard gas. Inject 1mL respectively, measure the retention time and peak height. Repeat the measurement 3 times for each concentration and take the average peak height. Plot the acetaldehyde content against the peak height to draw a standard curve. A5.4 Determination: Take 1 ml of sample and inject it. Determine under the conditions of the standard curve. Use retention time for qualitative analysis and peak height for quantitative analysis. Determine the aldehyde content from the standard curve.

A7.1 The detection limit of this method is 0.3mg/m (direct injection of 1mL). A7.2 This method measures the instantaneous concentration of acetaldehyde. To comprehensively evaluate the air quality in the workshop, the number of samplings should be increased. A7.3 The sample should be analyzed as soon as possible on the same day. The syringe should be placed vertically during the transportation and storage of the sample. A7.4 The clean air used to prepare the standard gas and the control sample refers to the air that does not contain acetaldehyde or other interfering gases. 2
