This standard is a revised version of GB/T9112-1988 "Types of Steel Pipe Flanges". Based on the reference to ISO7005-1:1992 "Metal Flanges Part 1: Steel Flanges" and other international and foreign advanced standards, this standard has made the following modifications to the original standard in combination with domestic usage: 1. The content of the original standard has been greatly supplemented and expanded. The original standard only stipulates the flange type and its applicable nominal pressure and nominal diameter range. In addition to retaining and modifying the flange type and applicable range, this standard also adds flange nominal pressure, nominal diameter and steel pipe outer diameter, flange type and code, sealing surface type and code, etc. 2. The flange type list in the original standard has been appropriately adjusted. The original standard lists the flange types and their applicable scopes belonging to the pressure levels of the European and American flange systems in the same table, while this standard lists "flange types and their applicable scopes with nominal pressure levels belonging to the European system" and "flange types and their applicable scopes with nominal pressure levels belonging to the American system" respectively, so that users can more clearly understand and use the steel pipe flange standards.
The writing format of this standard is different from IS07005-1:1992. The reason for adopting the current writing format is mainly to consider the convenience of use and the inheritance in the implementation of the standard.
This standard will replace GB/T9112-1988 from the date of implementation. This standard is under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Pipeline Accessories.
