Determination of apparent density》, UDC 678. 4. 031 GB 9891—88 This standard applies to the measurement of the apparent density of latex sponge products with natural latex and synthetic latex as the main raw materials. 2 Reference standards GB9889 Determination of linear dimensions of latex sponge 3 Definition Apparent density is the mass of sponge material per unit volume at specified temperature and humidity. 4 Test instruments and materials 4.1 Level; accurate to 0.5% of the sample mass. 4.2 Measuring tools: in accordance with the provisions of GB9889. 4. 3 Flaxseed, pure flaxseed with full seeds and no insects, lumps or other foreign matter. 4.4 Glass jar: a cylindrical glass jar with a diameter of 25-30cm and a height of 15-20cm. The jar body may be marked with scale (in millimeters) or without scale. 4.5 Sponge cutter: a latex sponge cutter that does not deform the sample, does not damage the foam structure of the sample, and has a smooth cutting surface. It is recommended to use the BOSCH1675 double-insulated rubber sponge cutter produced in the Federal Republic of Germany. 5 Sample classificationwww.bzxz.net Class I coreless latex sponge Class II core latex sponge 6 Samples 6.1 Shape and size The sample should be cut at a position more than 2cm away from the top of the sample. For Class I samples, the sample should be cut into a shape that is easy to measure its volume. For Class II samples, the sample can be cut into any shape. The volume of each sample should not be less than 100 cm\, the cutting surface of the sample should be flat, and the foam structure should not be damaged. 6.2 Quantity Take at least three samples of the same sample. 6.3 Storage conditions Approved by the Ministry of Chemical Industry of the People's Republic of China on August 8, 1988 and implemented on May 1, 1989 GB 9891-88 The sample cannot be tested within 72 hours after preparation; before the test, the sample should be stored for no less than 16 hours at 23±2℃, relative humidity 50%-5%; or 272℃, relative humidity 65%-5% without external force. 7 Test steps 7.1 Sample mass measurement: Under the conditions of 6.3, weigh the sample mass in grams. 7.2 Sample volume measurement: Under the conditions of 6.3, measure the sample volume by one of the following methods. 7.2.1 Method A: Applicable to Class 1 samples. According to GB9889, measure the size of the sample and calculate the sample volume in cubic millimeters. 7.2.2 Method B: Applicable to Class II samples. Place the glass cylinder on a horizontal surface, put the sample into the glass cylinder, and fill the sample gap with flax seeds until the sample is covered by about 2 cm. Make the flax seed surface flat, and measure the height of the flax seed filling surface at six points (or more than six points) evenly distributed along the circumference of the cylinder, and take the arithmetic mean. After taking out the sample, use the same method to measure the height of the flax seed surface, and calculate the difference between the two measured volumes before and after, which is the sample volume in cubic meters. 8 Result expression The apparent density of the sample is calculated by the following formula: In the formula; P\--apparent density of the sample, kg/m- mass of the sample, area; . Sample volume, mm\. The result is rounded to 0.1.kg/m. Test report The test report shall include the following contents: Sample name, category and number, Test items and results; Number of samples: Sample description (sample cutting position, whether there is skin or other visible defects): Laboratory temperature, brightness, Name or number of the standard based on which the test is conducted, any inconsistency with the standard1 Test date.
