Technical Requirements for Repair of Ship Cargo Hatch Covers
CB/T3583--94
Classification Number: R31
Subject Content and Scope of Application
This standard specifies the technical requirements for repair of steel seagoing ship cargo hatch covers. This standard applies to the dismantling, repair and renewal of steel seagoing ship cargo hatch covers. Other ships may also refer to it for implementation.

Technical requirements for partial patching and large-area replacement of hull3 Pre-repair inspection
Before disassembling the cargo hatch cover, it should be marked on the obvious part of the hatch cover to facilitate reinstallation.
3.2 Inspect the deformation and wear of the cargo hatch cover on site, determine the repair content, and understand the problems existing in the use of the cargo hatch cover.

3.3 Inspect whether the cargo hatch cover opening and closing device is normal and determine the repair content. 4 General requirements for repair
4.1 During the use of the cargo hatch cover panel, if a certain part is corroded, perforated or deformed beyond adjustment, it needs to be partially replaced. The replacement should comply with the requirements of CB/T3586.
4.2 The maximum vertical deflection of the long side of the cargo hatch cover should be less than 1/1000 of its size, and the maximum horizontal deflection should not be greater than 10mm; the maximum vertical deflection of the short side should be less than 1/1000 of its size, and the maximum horizontal deflection should not be greater than 6mm.
4.3 The side and end plates of the cargo hatch cover that are corroded or perforated should be partially replaced, and all fillet welds should be double-sided continuous welds. After welding, the height deviation of the side and end plates is ±3mm.
4.4 When the sealing groove is replaced, the raised part of the butt weld inside the groove should be ground flat, and the height of the internal fillet weld leg should not be greater than the chamfer size of the sealing strip. After repair, the dimension deviation of the sealing groove is ±2mm; the installation position tolerance is 4mm.
4.5 If the cargo hatch cover's transverse connecting pressure strip is seriously worn and affects watertightness, it should be replaced. The dimension deviation of the new pressure strip is ±2mm; the flatness tolerance of the top plane is 4mm; the installation position tolerance is 8mm. 4.6 After the cargo hatch cover is closed, at the joint of the two cover plates, the height deviation of the hatch cover panel shall not exceed 6mm; the front and rear side plates shall be aligned, and the thickness deviation shall not exceed 4mm; the gap between the side plates and the cover plates at the joint shall not exceed 10mm. 4.7 After a major repair of the cargo hatch cover, its dimensional deviation shall meet the requirements of Table 1. 25

Material of sealing strip, natural foam rubber, with a hardness of 50 Shore~The size deviation of new sealing strip is shown in Figure 1. The joint type of repair sealing strip is shown in Figure 2.
If the wear amount of sealing strip surface is greater than 4mm, there is partial tearing, wrinkling or 4.10
When the sealing strip hardening cannot achieve the sealing effect, it should be replaced. 4.11
A flame-retardant adhesive with good bonding effect on metal and rubber (CB/T3583-94) should be selected. Before applying the adhesive, water, rust and other debris in the sealing groove should be removed to make the groove dry and clean.
5 Repair requirements for several typical cargo hatch covers
5.1 Roll-over cargo hatch cover
The type of roll-over cargo hatch cover is shown in Figure 3.
1 Top tensioner, 2 connector; 3 eccentric wheel; 4 lifter: 5 balance wheel, 6 zipper;? Side tensioner 5.1.2 The balance wheel and eccentric wheel should be worn evenly, and the wear on one side should not exceed 6mm, and the rotation should be flexible without sticking.
5.1.3 After repair, the position tolerance of the balance wheel installation is Φ6mm, and the position tolerance of the eccentric wheel installation is Φ10mm.
5.1.4 If the cargo hatch cover connector is deformed or worn seriously and cannot be used, it should be reshaped or replaced.
5.2 Folding cargo hatch cover
CB/T3583-94
5.2.1 The type of folding cargo hatch cover is shown in Figure 4. Figure 4
1-connecting hinge; 2-wheel; 3-presser; 4-hinge seat 5.2.2 The coaxiality tolerance of the folding cargo hatch cover connecting hinge is Φ4mm. The dimension deviation of the hinge seat is ±2mm, and the position tolerance of the installation is 4mm.
5.3 Container cargo hatch cover
The type of container cargo hatch cover is shown in Figure 5.
Container confirmation
CB/T3583-94
5.3.2 The flatness tolerance of the upper surface of the container cargo hatch cover is 4mm, of which the flatness tolerance of any 1m should not be greater than 2mm.
5.3.3 The damaged corner fittings of the container on the upper surface of the cargo hatch cover should be replaced or repaired by electric welding. After repair, the installation and positioning size deviation should meet the following requirements: length deviation is ±5mm;
width deviation is ±3mm;
c. The diagonal length difference is 10mm.
5.4 Side-sliding cargo hatch cover
The side-sliding cargo hatch cover is shown in Figure 6.
1-worm gear device, 2-pressing device, 3-foldable rail; 4-hydraulic lifting device, 5-wheel box, 6-locking device at connection, 7-roller 5.4.2 If the worm gear device is seriously worn and worn, which affects the opening of the cargo hatch cover, it should be replaced.
The roller should work normally and should not be stuck; the wear of the roller on one side is greater than 6mm or the roller is damaged, it should be replaced.
5.4.4 The center of the roller should be centered with the center of the hydraulic lifting device, and the offset should not be greater than 8mm.
6 Test and acceptance
CB/T3583-94
6.1 Opening and closing cargo hatch cover test
6.1.1 During the test, the cargo hatch cover can be opened and closed smoothly. 6.1.2 During the opening and closing of the cargo hatch cover, various travel devices, drive devices, and control devices should work normally, and the start, interlocking and emergency brake should operate normally. 6.1.3 Various clamps (> can be clamped and unloaded smoothly. 6.2 Water flushing test
6.2.1 Before the water flushing test, the hatch cover is closed and the clamps are clamped. 6.2.2 During the test, the water pressure shall not be less than 0.1MPa (10m high water column), the nozzle diameter shall not be less than 16mm, and the distance between the nozzle and the test object shall not be greater than 3m. 6.2.3
During the test, check that there shall be no seepage around the cargo hatch cover, transverse joints and various welds.
