According to the arrangement of Chemical Construction Standard (1996) No. 90, the original chemical design standard "Equipment Layout Model Design Specification" (CD43A2-87) was revised by the National Chemical Engineering Model Design Technology Center to this regulation, which was reviewed and finalized by the Technical Committee of the station. The content of this regulation includes: general principles, the function and application scope of equipment layout model design, the work procedure table of equipment layout model design, the design and production of equipment layout model, the results of equipment layout model design and clause explanation, etc.
During the revision, the professional names, professional division of labor and design work procedures in the original regulations were adjusted according to the international general design system and methods. At the same time, based on the summary of the equipment layout model design experience in the chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical and other industries, the selection ratio and condition relationship were modified accordingly.

In order to improve the application level of equipment layout model design, this regulation is specially formulated.
This regulation is applicable to the equipment layout model design of devices or workshops in the chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical and other industries.
2 Functions and application scope of equipment layout model design 21
Functions of equipment layout model design
2.1.1: Provide professional designers of process equipment layout to design equipment layout schemes and compare schemes for devices or workshops.
2.1.2 Provide professional designers related to device or workshop layout design to discuss and study the relationship between design conditions of the proposed equipment layout schemes. 2.1.3 Provide design review.
2.2 Scope of application of equipment layout model design In the engineering design stage, the equipment layout design of devices or workshops with the following characteristics shall adopt equipment layout model design.
Projects using new processes and new processes.

4 Equipment layout model design and production
4.1 The proportion of equipment layout model design
For medium and small-scale devices such as chemical industry and medicine, the proportion of model design should be 1:25~~1:331/3.
4.1.2 For large-scale devices such as fertilizer, petrochemical, and oil refining, the proportion of model design should be 1:33 1/3-1:50.
4.2 The expression depth of equipment layout model design 4.2.1
The plane coordinate grid of the device should be marked on the model chassis at a certain interval. 4.2.2 The civil plant or framework shall indicate the level and floor height, column spacing and span, and the main opening positions of stairs and floors.
