1 Subject Content and Applicability
SY/T 5398-91
This specification specifies the specifications, models, accuracy, quantity and application scope of the measuring instruments in the sales and transfer stations of crude oil, natural gas and stable light hydrocarbons.
This specification is applicable to the crude oil, natural gas and stable light hydrocarbon sales stations of various oil companies and the handover metering stations between oil companies. 2

3Principles for the allocation of measuring instruments
3.1 When the flowmeter dynamically measures crude oil, the mass limit error shall not exceed ±0.35%; when the vertical metal measuring tank statically measures crude oil, the mass limit error shall not exceed ±0.35%; when the railway tank car statically measures crude oil, the mass limit error shall not exceed ±0.7%. 3.2 When the standard orifice valve is used to measure natural gas, the standard volume limit error shall not exceed ±2%. When the gas flow meter is used, the standard volume limit error shall not exceed ±2%.
3.3 When the flow meter is used to measure light hydrocarbons dynamically, the mass limit error shall not exceed ±1%. When the metal metering pressure gauge is used to measure light hydrocarbons statically, the mass limit error shall not exceed ±1%. 3.4 All metering instruments shall be explosion-proof and their explosion-proof level shall comply with the relevant national explosion-proof standards. 3.5 Other metering instruments not specified in this specification shall be equipped in accordance with the relevant national standards when necessary. 4.1 Equipment of crude oil metering instruments
