National Standard of the People's Republic of ChinabzxZ.net Testing method for ramie fiber count Count testing of ramie fiberUDC 677. 151. 014 GB 5884-86 This standard is a method for determining the count of ramie fiber (dry ramie and combed fiber) by the cut segment weighing method. All tests required for inspection during production, acceptance and delivery shall be conducted in accordance with this standard. Sampling Perform in accordance with the provisions of GB5881-86 "Sampling method for ramie physical and chemical properties test". 2 Test conditions The test can be carried out under standard atmospheric conditions or under non-standard atmospheric conditions, but the test conditions must be stable. The temperature and humidity conditions during the test must be indicated in the records and reports. The test results are corrected according to the weight at the official moisture regain. 3 Test cycle Periodic tests can be carried out as needed. Each product variety shall be tested at least once a day. The test cycle during acceptance and delivery shall be agreed upon by both parties. 4 Test Instruments 4.1 Fiber Cutting Equipment Fiber Length Cutter. Release by National Bureau of Standards on January 21, 1986 Reference model Y171 Reference model JN-A-5 Reference model JN-A~25 Implemented on October 1, 1986 5 Test method 5.1 Sample preparation 5.1.1 Preparation of fine flax sample GB 5884--86 Spread the samples on the table, cut them from the folded part of the base and tip of the fine flax, and then cut 10cm from the base. Mix them evenly and randomly extract the fibers after combing. The total weight is about 2g. 5.1.2 Preparation of combed fiber sample Spread the sample on the table and randomly extract about 2g of fiber from different parts. 5.2 Test steps 5.2.1 Arrangement of hemp bundle Take about 300mg of fiber from the sample, first hold the fiber bundle with the thumb and index finger of the right hand, and then transfer one end to the holding point between the thumb and index finger of the left hand in the order of the length of the fiber. Repeat the transfer and arrangement twice with the left and right hands, and you can get a hemp bundle with long fibers at the bottom and short fibers at the top, which is 10-15mm wide and neatly arranged at one end. 5.2.2 Combing Use tweezers carefully to remove the strands and impurities in the hemp bundle, and comb it gently with a sparse comb to remove the free fibers in the hemp bundle. 5.2.3 Bunching Put the combed flax bundles together layer by layer on the glass plate according to the length of the fibers (discard the fibers of 6 cm and below), and then split them along the fiber length direction, a total of 12 to 13 bundles (only 10 bundles are used for the test). 5.2.4 Segmentation Put the flax bundles straight in the middle of the cutter clamp, and the flax bundles should be perpendicular to the cutter. The neat end is exposed about 10 mm, and the flax bundles are straightened and flattened by hand, and then cut. Put the cut flax bundles on the clean glass plate one by one, and press them with another glass plate: the remaining fibers at both ends of the cutter are reserved for the moisture regain test sample. 5.2.5 Weighing Use tweezers to carefully remove the flax bundles on the glass plate, and weigh them one by one on the precision torsion balance (the cutting weight of each flax bundle is about 1.5 mg) and record them. 5.2.6 Counting the number of fibers 5.2.6.1 When measuring the fiber count alone, a hemp bundle of known weight can be placed on a black velvet board and the number of fibers can be counted one by one. This test is performed ten times in total. 5.2.6.2 When measuring the fiber breaking strength of a bundle and the fiber count at the same time, the sample that has been tested for the strength of the bundle can be removed from the lower clamp and the number of fibers can be counted on the black velvet board. 6 Calculation method The fiber count of ramie is calculated as follows: Wherein: Nm—fiber count at the standard moisture regain, count, L cutting length of the cutter, 40mm; number of fiber roots in a ramie bundle, gl-weight of a ramie bundle under non-standard atmospheric conditions, mgsWr actual moisture regain of a fiber, %, standard moisture regain of a fiber, %, which is 12% as stipulated in this standard. The fiber count is rounded to an integer. The rounding of numbers shall be carried out in accordance with the digital rounding rules (supplement) in Appendix C of GB1.1-81 "General Provisions for the Preparation of Standards in the Guidelines for Standardization Work". 47 GB5884—86 Appendix Tabular form (reference) See Appendix A of GB5882—86 “Test method for breaking strength of ramie bundle fiber”.
