This standard specifies the commonly used terms and definitions for the types, performances, inspections and assembly of rubber sealing products. This standard is applicable to the professional production, revision of standards and the preparation of technical documents, books and periodicals for rubber sealing products. 2 Terms and Definitions
2.1 Types
2.1.1 Rubber sealing articles Rubber sealing articles are rubber parts that prevent fluid leakage from the sealing device and prevent external dust, sand and air (for high vacuum) from entering the sealing device.
2.1.2 ()-shaped rubber sealing ring rubberring A rubber sealing ring with a ()-shaped cross section.
2.1.31)-shaped rubber sealing ring rubberDring A rubber sealing ring with an I)-shaped cross section.
2.1.4X-shaped rubber sealing ring rubberXring A rubber sealing ring with an X-shaped cross section.
W-shaped rubber sealing ring rubberWring
A rubber sealing ring with a W-shaped cross section.
2.1.6U-shaped rubber sealing ring rubber Uring A rubber sealing ring with a U-shaped cross section.
2.1.7V-shaped rubber sealing ring rubber V ring A rubber sealing ring with a V-shaped cross section.
2.1.8Y-shaped rubber sealing ring rubberYring A rubber sealing ring with a Y-shaped cross section.
2.1.9I-shaped rubber sealing ring rubber I.ring A rubber sealing ring with an I.-shaped cross section.
2.1.10J-shaped rubber sealing ring rubberJring A rubber sealing ring with a J-shaped cross section.
Rectangular rubber sealing ring rubberrectangularring2. 1. 11
Rubber sealing ring with a rectangular cross section.
Tubber wiper
Rubber sealing ring used to prevent external carbon dust and other pollutants from entering the sealing device. Approved by the State Bureau of Technical Supervision on December 20, 1995 and implemented on August 1, 1996
GB/T 5719- 1995
2.1.13 Bud-shaped rubber sealing ring rubber bud-shaped ring rubber sealing ring with a grape-shaped cross section.
2.1.14 Drum-shaped rubber sealing ring rubberdrum-shapedring rubber sealing ring with a drum-shaped cross section.
2.1.15 Rubber gaskets rubber gaskets used as sheet rubber seals between two stationary surfaces. 2.1.16 Printed gaskets printed gaskets rubber gaskets produced by printing on a substrate. 2.1.17 Adhesive seals A static seal formed by gluing a rubber of a certain cross-section shape to the inner side of a metal ring or metal plate hole. 2.1.18 Rotary shaft lipseals A seal with a deformable part, usually supported by a metal skeleton, which prevents leakage by applying radial force to the shaft by the sealing edge.
Hydrodynamic aided rotary shaft lip seals 2. 1.19 A seal with an additional sealing structure, with uniform unidirectional or bidirectional spiral or vortex or other shaped grooves designed on the rear surface of the sealing lip to prevent fluid leakage by changing the shape of the contact area between the sealing lip and the shaft. 2.1.20 Rubber diaphragm A sealing element or sensitive element made of rubber or rubber and fabric and other reinforcing materials. 2.1.21 Rubber sealing strip A strip seal that generates contact pressure with the surface of the contacting object to act as a seal. 2.1.22 Rubber cups and rubber caps
Rubber parts used in hydraulic brake cylinders to seal and transmit pressure. 2.1.23 Rubber seals with special section Rubber seals with special section 2.2 Performance
2.2.1 Radial load
The total radial load generated by the seal at the contact point with the circumferential surface of the mating part after assembly. 2.2.2 Lip open pressure Under gas pressure, the lip leaves the test shaft surface and generates gas pressure to leak. 2.2.3 Leakage ratio
The volume or mass of the sealed fluid leaked under specified conditions in the sealing device. Frictional torque
The product of the friction generated by the contact zone between the shaft and the sealing edge along the tangent direction of the shaft under rotating conditions and the shaft radius. 2.2.5
The axial length of the contact between the sealing edge and the shaft. 2.2.6Interference
The basic dimensional difference between the diameter of the sealing ring and the diameter of the mating part. 2.3 Inspection
2.3.1Off register
The two halves do not overlap due to the lateral displacement of the parting surface of the sealing ring section. 2.3.2Fixed dimensionfixed dimensionThe dimension of the seal determined by the model cavity size and the shrinkage rate of the rubber compound in the molded product, which is not affected by the deformation of the rubber edge thickness or the misalignment between the upper and lower molds.
3Closure dimensionclosure dimension
5719—1995
The dimension of the seal that changes with the deformation of the rubber edge thickness or the misalignment between the upper and lower mold cores in the molded product. 2.4 Assembly
2.4.1 Housing
Space for installing seals.
Groove
Groove for installing seals (excluding the mating surface). Depth of housing
Axial dimension of the bore in the cavity.
Width of housing
Radial dimension of the bore in the cavity.
2.4.5 Compression ratio
compression ratio
Ratio of the cross-sectional compression deformation dimension to the original cross-sectional dimension after the seal is assembled. Offset
Radial distance of the center line of the cavity from the axis. Assembly clearance
The clearance between the mating parts in the sealing device after the seal is assembled. 31
