The test is to locate the tapered hole or threaded hole of the drill chuck and the outer end face, fasten it on the test mandrel, clamp the test rod with the jaws, and touch the generatrix of the test rod vertically. The test is carried out by rotating the mandrel, see Figure 5. The measurement result is the difference of the maximum reading of the indicator. For H-type and M-type drill chucks, the measurement should be carried out on two test rods with the maximum clamping diameter and about 1/2 of the maximum clamping diameter.
