This standard specifies the code for the names of the Central Party and State Organs, People's Communities and the other State Organizations. This standard is applicable to information processing and information exchange. 2 Principles of compilation

2.1 This standard is mainly revised based on the two documents of the State Council [Guofa (1993) No. 20 and No. 25]. 2.2 According to the organization establishment plan determined by the State Council, the original codes of the organizations that have not been changed in the original GB4657-90 are retained, and new codes are given to the newly established organizations. For the units whose affiliation has changed, the codes of this standard remain unchanged and can still be used. 2.3 The three-digit code of this standard group is compatible with the nine-digit code of the "National Unified Code Identification System for Enterprises, Institutions and Social Organizations" (the first five digits are 0, the last three digits use this code, and the last digit is the check code). 2.4 The order of the codes of various institutions in this standard shall not be used as the basis for the order of the institutions in other fields and occasions. 2.5 Coding method
2.5.1 In this standard, the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress is referred to as the National People's Congress, the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference is referred to as the CPPCC, the Supreme People's Procuratorate and the Supreme People's Court are referred to as the Supreme Procuratorate and the Supreme Court, and the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China is referred to as the Central Committee. 2.5.2 The listed machine tree adopts the layered coding method , divided into two layers. 2.5.3 The code is represented by two digits, the first layer uses a digit to represent the category identifier, and the first layer uses two digits to represent the machine tree name in each category.
The first category identifier is allocated as follows:
