2.1 Model
Rubber sheathed electric welding machine cables: 245IEC81 (YH); Fluorinated rubber or other equivalent synthetic elastomer rubber sheathed electric coal machine cables: 245IEC82 (YHF) 2.2 Rated voltage
Because this type of core cable is designed for welding, the rated voltage is not specified. 2.3 Structure
2.3.1 Conductor
Number of cores: I core.
The conductor shall meet the requirements of column 2 of Table 1. Single wires may be untinned or tinned. 2.3.2 Isolation layer
An isolation layer made of suitable material shall be added around the conductor. 2.3.3 Insulation layer
Approved by the State Administration of Technical Supervision on October 13, 1997 and implemented on October 1, 1998
GB 5013.6—1997
The conductor and the isolation layer shall be protected by one of the following. 2.3.3.1 A covering layer of SE3 rubber mixture with a minimum tensile strength of 12 MPa shall constitute the insulation and sheath. Its thickness shall comply with the values specified in column 3 of Table 1.
2.3.3.2 A covering layer of SE4 chloroprene or other equivalent synthetic elastomer mixture shall constitute the insulation and sheath. Its thickness shall comply with the values specified in column 3 of Table 1.
2.3.3.3 A covering layer of IE1 rubber mixture with a minimum tensile strength of 12 MPa shall constitute the insulation and sheath. Its thickness shall comply with the values specified in column 3 of Table 1. Composite covering consisting of material insulation, one optional fabric tape and one SE4 type chloroprene or other equivalent synthetic elastomer compound sheath, the total thickness shall comply with the values specified in column 3 of Table 1, and the thickness of the expanded sheath in the composite covering shall comply with the values specified in column 4 of Table 1; if the insulation is not extruded, it shall consist of at least two layers. 2.3.4 External diameter
The average external diameter shall be within the upper and lower limits specified in columns 5 and 6 of Table 1. 2.4 Tests
The tests and tests specified in Table 2 shall be used to check whether the requirements of 2.3 are met. 2.5 Guidelines for use
