Introduction to standards:

JB/T 7988.2-1999 This standard is a revision of JB/T 7988.2-95 (formerly GB 6406.4-86) "Test Method for Impurities in Artificial Diamond or Cubic Boron Nitride". During the revision, only editorial changes were made according to relevant regulations, and the main technical content remained unchanged. This standard specifies the test method for external impurities in superhard abrasives. This standard is applicable to the test of external impurities in artificial diamond and cubic boron nitride with a particle size of 16/20~325/400. This standard was first issued in May 1986. The provisions contained in the following standards constitute the provisions of this standard through reference in this standard. When this standard is published, the versions shown are valid. All standards will be revised, and the parties using this standard should explore the possibility of using the latest versions of the following standards. JB/T3914—1999 Superhard abrasive sampling method 3 Definitions
This standard adopts the following definitions.
3.1 External impurities
External impurities refer to non-diamond substances in artificial diamond materials or non-cubic boron nitride materials in cubic boron nitride materials. It is expressed as a percentage of particles.
4 Inspection method
4.1 Equipment and tools
Solid microscope (100×)
Glass slide, blade, counter
4.2 Sampling
Shrunk the material to be inspected to about 1g according to the method specified in JB/T3914, and then took an appropriate amount (at least 500 particles) and placed it on the slide, and scraped the sample into a straight line with a blade for inspection.
4.3 Adjust the microscope to an appropriate magnification, start from the end of the sample, and inspect along the straight line to the other end, inspecting a total of 500 particles; if one line is insufficient, you can start another line, record the number of particles of the product material, and then calculate the percentage of particles. Approved by the State Bureau of Machinery Industry on May 20, 199930
Implementation on January 1, 2000
