Chemical Industry Standard of the People's Republic of China HG/T2582—94 Rubber or plastic coated fabrics Determination of water penetration resistance Promulgated on February 9, 1994 Ministry of Chemical Industry of the People's Republic of China Implementation on January 1, 1995 Chemical Industry Standard of the People's Republic of China Rubber or plastic coated fabrics Determination of water penetration resistance HG/T 2582 —94 This standard is equivalent to the international standard IS01420—1987 "Rubber or plastic coated fabrics—Determination of water penetration resistance" Subject content and scope of application This standard specifies the method for determining the water penetration resistance of rubber or plastic coated fabrics when subjected to low or high hydrostatic pressure. This standard is applicable to the determination of the water penetration resistance of rubber or plastic coated fabrics and their products. This standard includes four methods: Method AI and A2: low hydrostatic pressure - large specimen method, Method B1 and B2: high hydrostatic pressure - small specimen method 2 Reference standards GB/T7539 Standard environment for storage and testing of rubber-coated fabrics 3 Time interval from manufacturing to testing 3.1 For all tests, the minimum time interval from manufacturing to testing should be no less than 16h. 3.2 For unfinished product testing, the time interval from manufacturing to testing shall not exceed 4 months at most. Comparative tests shall be conducted at the same time interval. 3.3 For finished product testing, the time interval from manufacturing to testing shall not exceed 3 months. In other cases, the test shall be completed within 2 months from the date of receipt by the user. 4 Method: Low hydrostatic pressure - large sample method 4.1 Test apparatus The test apparatus (see Figure 1) shall include a trough on which the sample is fixed by a coaxial annular clamp. At laboratory temperature, water is drawn from the top or bottom of the sample to contact the sample at a water pressure rate of 98+±20 Pa/s (10±2 mmH,O/s). The contact surface is a circular area of 100 cm. A rubber tube with an inner diameter of not less than 6 mmtm is connected to the constant level device and the test. A rubber seal may be used between the coated fabric sample and the coaxial annular tool. Approved by the Ministry of Chemical Industry of the People's Republic of China on February 9, 1994 and implemented on January 1, 1995 Clamping screw Figure 1 Hydrostatic method HG/T 2582--94 Test equipment a) Test equipment b) Rubber gasket Schematic diagram of installation of two test equipments for large sample method Water outlet 4.2 Sample and its environmental conditioning HG/ T 2582 —94 4.2.1 The sample is a circle with a diameter of 130 to 200 mm or a square of equivalent area. The sample should be cut at least 0.1 m above the edge of the coated fabric and 1 m away from the end of the cracked fabric. 4.2.2 Unless otherwise specified, 5 samples should be tested for each sample. 4.2.3 All samples should be environmentally conditioned in accordance with the provisions of GB/T7539. 4.3 Operating procedures 4.3,1 Method A1 - Dynamic pressure method Wipe off the water on the surface of the clamp, then use a wet cloth to remove the release agent on the coated fabric to be tested, and place the sample on the lower pressing plate to ensure that the coating There are no bubbles between the fabric and the water. Then cover the upper pressing plate and clamp the sample to form a watertight chamber: for single-sided coated fabrics, unless otherwise specified, the coated side contacts the water. For double-sided coated fabrics, unless otherwise specified, the side with the shortest coating thickness contacts the water. Adjust the level to zero, then drain the water and keep the water flow uninterrupted. Raise the constant level device at a speed of 10mm/s until the first water drop appears on the surface of the sample or reaches the pressure specified in the corresponding product standard. Record the height of the water column above the sample, ignoring the small water droplets formed at the damaged reverse edge of the sample. 4. 3.2 Method A2 - Static Constant Pressure Method Place the specimen on the clamping plate and raise the pressure to a value corresponding to the predetermined water height. Record the time when the first full water drop appears on the back of the specimen, or maintain the water column height for 15 minutes and observe whether water drops appear. 4.4 Test Results For Method A1, the test result is the height of the water column (mm) when the first water drop appears on the specimen and the average value of the test data of all specimens. For method A2, report the expected height of the water column (mm) and the time required for the first water drop to appear on the specimen surface (min) and the average value of the test results for all specimens. 5 Method B: High hydrostatic pressure method - 5.1 Test apparatus A small sample method The test apparatus (see Figure 2) is equipped with a hydrostatic pressure tester capable of supplying a minimum pressure of 690 kPa with an accuracy of 7.0 kPa. 5.1.1 @31.5±0.5 Figure 2 Test apparatus for high hydrostatic pressure method Small sample method HG/T 2582 - 94 5.1.2 The test instrument is equipped with two concentric annular clamps with an inner diameter of 31.5 mm. The sample is clamped between them. The surface of the clamps should have concentric grooves with a depth of not less than 0.15 mm to prevent the sample from sliding during the test. The inner edge of the annular clamp in contact with the sample should have a chamfer with a radius of 0.3 to 0.5° to avoid cutting the sample. 5.1.3 The lower fixture should be equipped with a rubber O-ring to prevent leakage when pressure is applied to the sample. 5.1.4 The pressure gauge with the corresponding range should be selected according to the product standard or user's requirements. The use range of the pressure gauge is 25% to 75% of the full range. 5.2 Samples and their environmental adjustment 5.2.1 The sample should be cut at least 0.1m away from the edge of the coated fabric. Five samples should be cut at random 1m away from the end of the coated fabric. The diameter of the sample should be at least 12mm larger than the outer diameter of the sample fixture. 5.2.2 All samples should be environmentally adjusted according to the provisions of GB/T7539. 5.3 Test procedure According to The following two methods are used for the test: 5.3.1 Method B1—Dynamic pressure method Before the sample is clamped on the test machine, fill it with water to the same height as the top of the O-ring, and wipe the side of the sample that contacts the water with a cloth to remove the release agent so that there are no bubbles between the water and the sample. Unless otherwise specified, the coated side of the single-sided coated fabric sample should be in contact with the water, and the thicker coated side of the double-sided coated fabric or double-structured fabric sample should be in contact with the water. Unless otherwise specified, the water temperature should be the same as the ambient temperature of the test room. Increase the pressure at a uniform water filling rate, and record the reading on the pressure gauge when water first appears through the sample. 5.3.2 Method B2—Static constant pressure method Pressure and release the sample at the specified pressure are repeated 5 times, and each time the specified pressure (to stabilize the pressure within ±7.0 kPa) is maintained for 5 nmi. Any perceptible water release within the specified time indicates that the sample is unqualified. 5.4 Test results 5.4.1 For method B1: the test result is the average pressure (kPa) when the first water drop appears on the surface of the specimen. 5.4.2 For method B2: apply the specified pressure value and the number of specimens that withstand the pressure. 6 Test report The test report should include the following contents: Test method; Test name; Test room temperature and humidity Number of specimens; If the product requires aging or other tests, the aging or other test conditions should be reported; test results; Test date; Tester, Additional remarks: HG/T2582—94 This standard is proposed by the Technical Supervision Department of the Ministry of Chemical Industry of the People’s Republic of China.
