2 Classification principles
2.1 The classification objects of this standard are industrial and agricultural products (commodities, materials) produced in my country. Imported commodities (materials), except for a few original materials, are not included in the scope of this standard. 2.2 Scientific classification is the main method, and industrial and agricultural products (commodities, materials) are classified according to their basic properties, taking into account the needs of departmental management. 2.3 The classification must first meet the requirements of modern management and take into account the current management level. 2.4 In order to unify the classification of industrial and agricultural products and commodities across the country, the requirements of the production and circulation fields should be taken into account. 2. 5 This standard is compatible with related standards.
3 Coding method
3.1 This standard has a hierarchical code structure, which is divided into four layers (excluding categories), and each layer is represented by two Arabic numerals. For the convenience of inspection, categories are added and English letters represent their order. 3.2 The codes of each layer generally start from "01\, arranged in ascending order, and the last digit is "99". However, there are special regulations for the writing of the third layer code, which is 3.6.
3.3 The codes with the digit "99\" in each layer represent the containment category. When the same area is divided into more than ten areas, the category of each area is generally represented by the code with the last digit "9": 3.4, When the categories of the first, second and third layers are no longer subdivided, add \0\ after their codes and continue to the eighth position. 3.5 Appropriate blank codes are reserved at each layer for adding or adjusting categories. 3.6 The third layer has an "open list area" and its categories are indicated by "01" to "05". When there is no open list category, the codes of the third layer categories in the main classification area are generally written from "10". The categories in the parallel area are marked with "#" before the code. 4 Provisions on "parallel area"
4.1 Setting of categories in the "open list area"

To meet special management needs, this standard has an "open list area" on the third layer. There are two situations in the categories of this area; the products (commodities, materials) contained in the categories of the main classification area are reclassified according to different attributes. For example, for extra-thick steel plates, they have been classified by steel type in the main classification area, and they are divided into "extra-thick steel plates for boilers" and "extra-thick boiler plates for pressure vessels" according to their uses in the listing area. Set up categories according to various requirements. For example, metal cutting machine tools have been classified according to processing technology in the main classification area, but the technical equipment level of metal pre-cutting machine tools is still unknown in management. Therefore, "CNC machine tools" and "high-precision machine tools" are added in the "listing area".
4.2 Rules for the use of categories in the listing area
There is no strict logical relationship between the categories in the listing area, so they cannot be summarized in general; because of the existence of intersections, they cannot be summarized together with the categories in the main classification area.
5 Calculation units
This standard generally uses calculation units without quantifiers, and users can add appropriate quantifiers as needed. Products (commodities, materials) for which calculation units are not given 6 Requirements for use
6.1 This standard provides a unified classification and coding system for industrial and agricultural products (commodities, materials) for national economic accounting and national economic information systems.
