Usually the rotor is also equipped with a cage winding for starting. 3.2.10 Hysteresis synchronous motor A synchronous motor that has no rotor winding and operates by generating hysteresis torque by means of the rotating magnetic field formed by the stator winding and the hysteresis material on the rotor. Resistance-start split-phase motor 3.2.17 A split-phase motor that is started by connecting a resistor in series with the auxiliary winding or having the necessary resistance value so that the currents of the main winding and the auxiliary winding have a phase difference. Note: When the motor reaches the appropriate speed, the auxiliary winding is disconnected. 3.2.18 Reactor-start split-phase motor A split-phase motor that starts with a reactor in series with the main winding to create a phase difference between the main winding and the auxiliary winding current. Capacitor-start motor 3.2.20 A capacitor motor in which the auxiliary winding and the capacitor in series are connected to the circuit only during starting. Permanent-split capacitor motor 3.2.21 A capacitor motor in which the capacitor in series with the auxiliary winding is the same during starting and running. Synonyms: capacitor start and run motor capacitor start and run motor 3.2.22 two-value capacitor motor two-value capacitor motor a capacitor motor in which the capacitance of the capacitor connected in series with the auxiliary winding is not alternating during start and run. 3.2.23 split-phase capacitor motor split-phase capacitor motor a capacitor motor in which the auxiliary winding operates during both start and run, but the capacitor is connected in series to the auxiliary winding circuit only during run. And it has approximately the same speed at rated load under the same DC or AC voltage (effective value). 3.2.30 Repulsion motor A single-phase motor with a primary winding on the stator connected to the power supply and a secondary winding on the rotor connected to the commutator. Tapped-winding (motor): a motor whose winding has multiple taps, which are connected to the external terminals. Dual-voltage (motor): a motor that can operate at two different rated voltages by changing the winding connection method. 3.4.23 Encapsulated (motor) with plastics (motor) whose stator (or rotor) is sealed by engineering plastics with both insulation and protection functions. 4 Main parts and accessories 4.1 Main winding The winding directly connected to the power supply in the split-phase motor. 4.2 Auxiliary winding The winding used for auxiliary starting or operation in the split-phase motor. Usually connected to the power supply with a phase shifting element in series. 4.3 Sinusoidal winding The number of turns of the coil in each slot under each pole is distributed according to a certain rule, so that the air gap magnetic potential distribution under the pole is close to the concentric winding of the sine function. 4.4 Shading coil A short-circuit coil on the salient pole shoe of the stator of the shaded pole motor. 4.5 Starting switch starting switch A starting device connected in series with the auxiliary winding of a single-phase motor. When the motor reaches the specified speed, the auxiliary winding circuit is disconnected. 4.61 Centrifugal starting switch A starting switch in which the centrifugal device in the rotating part separates the contacts on its stator when the speed exceeds a certain level.
