3 Terms
3.1 Bulk density: The weight of rice and barley grains in a certain volume, expressed in g/L. 3.2 Imperfect grains: grains with imperfect grains but still edible value. Including the following types: 3.2.1
Insect-damaged grains: grains that are damaged by insects and damage the embryo or endosperm. 3.2.2 Diseased grains: grains with diseased spots on the surface, which damage the embryo or endosperm. 3.2.3 Broken grains: grains that are flattened, broken, and have damaged the embryo or endosperm. 3.2.4 Budded grains: grains with buds or young roots breaking through the seed coat. 3.2.5 Grains that need to be changed: grains with mold on the surface or discolored and deteriorated endosperm. 3.3 Fusarium spores: grains with wrinkled, dull white, obvious pink mold, black husks in between, and some grains with purple surfaces, which are different from normal purple rice and barley. 3.4 Impurities: substances that pass through the specified sieve layer and have no edible value, including the following: 3.4.1 Screened materials: substances that pass through the 1.5mm round hole sieve. 3.4.2 Minerals: sand, coal slag, bricks and tiles and other minerals. 3.4.3 Other impurities: rice and barley grains with no edible value, grains of foreign species and other substances. 3.5 Color and smell: the comprehensive color and smell of a batch of rice and barley. 4 Classification
Divided into two categories according to the sowing season:
4.1 Winter sowing rice and barley.
4.2 Spring sowing rice and barley.
5 Quality indicators
5.1 Various types of rice and barley are classified according to bulk density. The grade indicators and other quality indicators are as follows: 5.1.1

The basic index of bulk density for price increase and decrease of all items is implemented. Add 10g/L on the basis of the third-class bulk density index. The maximum moisture content of purchased rice and barley shall be stipulated by the provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the central government. 5.4
5.5 The maximum limit of fusarium-damaged kernels is 4%. Those with edible value shall be classified as imperfect kernels, and those without edible value shall be classified as impurities.
5.6 Sanitary indicators shall comply with GB2715 and other relevant regulations. 5.7 Plant quarantine items shall be implemented in accordance with relevant national regulations. 6
Inspection method
The collection of rice and barley samples and the inspection of various indicators shall be carried out in accordance with the following methods: Sampling and sub-sampling shall be carried out in accordance with GB5491.
6.2 Color, aroma Taste identification shall be carried out in accordance with GB5492. Type and intermixing inspection shall be carried out in accordance with GB5493. 6.3
6.4 Inspection of impurities, imperfect grains and pure grain rate shall be carried out in accordance with GB5494. 6.5 Moisture determination shall be carried out in accordance with GB5497.
6.6 Bulk density determination shall be carried out in accordance with GB5498.
Note: The sieve layer regulations for rice and barley are: 4.5mm upper sieve layer, 1.5mm round hole sieve for lower sieve layer. 6.7 Hygiene item determination shall be carried out in accordance with GB5009.36. Packaging, transportation and storage
The packaging, transportation and storage of rice and barley must comply with the quality assurance, quantity assurance, transportation safety and classification and storage. Storage requirements, strictly prevent pollution.
