Paint and varnish
3.1.1 Non-dense oxide scale, rust, molding sand, welding slag, dust, oil stains, etc. on the metal surface must be removed. 3.1.2 The painted surface of the casting should be flat, and its flatness error should not be greater than 3mm over any 600mm length. 3.1.3 Castings are not allowed to have obvious defects such as seams, depressions, flash, and bulges. They should be repaired to meet the requirements of Article 3.1.2 before painting.
3.1.4 For surfaces treated with sandblasting (shot), primer should be applied immediately after sandblasting (shot), and heat-resistant paint should be applied immediately for parts with heat-resistant requirements.
5 For products exported abroad, there are requirements for salt spray protection. Products that need phosphating should be phosphating immediately after sandblasting, or phosphating primer should be applied, and then other paints can be applied.
3.1.6 The cleaning of the painted surface can be carried out by manual shoveling, filing, repairing, grinding, pickling, sandblasting, phosphating, etc. according to the situation. 3.1.7 The surface of the workpiece and test piece after phosphating should have a uniform, matte light gray to dark gray. 3.1.8
If there are defects such as scars and depressions on the surface of parts, putty should be used to make them smooth. 9After cleaning and applying primer to the surface of parts, wait until they are completely dry before putting them smooth. 3.1.9
Approved by the State Machinery Industry Bureau on August 6, 1999, implemented on January 1, 2000
JB/T4328.9--1999
3.1.10When it is necessary to change the type of paint, the original paint layer should be completely removed, cleaned, and puttyed again after drying. 3.1.11 Requirements for puttying quality
a) Putty must be firmly attached to the puttyed surface and must not fall off; b) Putty should be evenly applied in batches, and the next layer should be applied after the previous layer is dry. Each layer should be scraped thinly, and its thickness should not exceed 1mm to prevent falling off;
c) There should be no coarse particles and scratches on the puttying surface; d) The puttying surface should not shrink or crack after drying. 3.2 Requirements for painting construction conditions
3.2.1 The painting environment should be clean, dust-free, dry and well ventilated, and away from flammable and explosive items. 3.2.2 The painting construction site should be isolated from the crowd site, and necessary measures should be taken to prevent environmental pollution. 3.2.3 The temperature of the painting construction site should be kept within the range of (15~35)℃. 3.2.4 It is not suitable to paint under the scorching sun or in the environment of snow, frost, and rain. When the relative humidity of the working environment is greater than 70%, moisture-proof agent should be added or other measures should be taken to prevent the paint film from turning white. 3.2.5
3.3 Parts and parts that should not be painted
3.3.1 Parts that need to be frequently twisted or touched during the operation of the product. Such as screws, nuts, operating parts (hand wheels, handles, buttons, etc.). For parts made of materials such as aluminum, copper, plastic and rubber, and the surfaces of parts that have been electroplated or fluorinated. 3.3.2
The color, color matching and style of the product shall be implemented in accordance with the product standards or order contracts, and its color shall refer to the provisions of Table 1. 3.4

Excellent color, surface is discerning, bright and clean, visually free of impurities, stains, brush marks and trimming marks The color is very good, the surface is smooth and even, visually free of obvious impurities, stains and brush marks, and not obvious local trimming marks are allowed The color is good, the surface is relatively smooth and uniform, and not obvious large-area trimming marks are allowed Requirements Can prevent deer erosion, and there shall be no accumulation and missing coating The choice of paint film accuracy level shall meet the requirements of product standards or supply contracts. According to the structural characteristics of the product, the paint film accuracy of the outer surface of thin-walled iron parts, racks, furnaces, rollers and other parts shall not be lower than Grade III 3.5.3
For castings with decorative requirements, the paint film accuracy shall not be lower than Grade II. 3.5.4 The same product can choose different paint film precisions according to the product structure characteristics and the prominence of the location, and the lowest shall not be lower than the blood grade precision.
3.5.5 The selection of paint film precision level shall take into account the market adaptability, economy and reliability of operation. 3.6 Selection of paint varieties
3.6.1 The paint varieties should meet the requirements of normal working conditions and working environment, and should be selected according to Appendix A (Appendix of the standard). 3.6.2 For products that are to be shipped abroad and need to be transported long distances at sea, the paint varieties and painting processes should meet the requirements of wet tropical and salt spray resistance.
3.6.3 The selection of paint varieties should meet the requirements of paint film accuracy, strength, elasticity, hardness, adhesion and weather resistance. 3.6.4 Under the premise of ensuring quality, paint varieties with low environmental pollution and economical application should be given priority. 3.7 Requirements for coatings
3.7.1 Primer, putty, second primer, topcoat, cavity paint, thinner, etc. must be used in combination, and generally should comply with the provisions of Appendix B (Appendix of the standard).
3.7.2 The quality of the coating must comply with the provisions of the relevant standards. 3.8 Painting requirements
The painting site should comply with the provisions of Article 3.2.
Painting tools should be clean.
The primer should be applied evenly without sagging, missing paint, wrinkling, etc. This process should be carried out before assembly. The surface of the workpiece should be painted after the primer is dry. Generally, this process should be carried out before assembly. 3.8.4
The topcoat should be uniform, dense and bright to meet the requirements of the specified paint film accuracy, generally (2 to 3) layers, and the color of each layer of paint should be slightly different, 3.8.5
For identification, the last layer of paint should be applied after the test run is qualified. 3.8.6 The intersection of two colors of topcoat should have a clear boundary, and the color transition should be smooth and natural, and integrated. The painting work shall be carried out strictly in accordance with the painting process and the provisions of this standard. When the first coat of topcoat is dry to the point where there is no trace of finger pressure, apply the second coat. For the topcoat with a film accuracy of level II, it can be sanded with water sandpaper after drying, thinly scraped with putty, sanded with water sandpaper after drying, and then applied with a coat of topcoat after drying until the film accuracy requirements are met. 3.8.8 If the paint layer is damaged during installation, commissioning or other processes, it should be remedied in time. According to the damage and the painting process, the same paint should be used for touch-up. 3.8.9 The main quality indicators of the paint layer should meet the requirements of Table 3. 527
