This part specifies the general requirements and safety requirements for control devices of lamps using a DC power supply of less than 250V and/or an AC power supply of less than 1000V at 50Hz or 60Hz. Supplementary requirements for built-in ballasts with double insulation or reinforced insulation are given in Appendix I. This part also applies to control devices used for lamps that have not yet been standardized. The tests involved in this part are all type tests. This part does not include test requirements for control devices of individual lamps during production. The requirements for semi-luminaires are given in GB7000. In addition to the requirements given in this part, Appendix B also gives the general requirements and safety requirements for control devices applicable to thermally protected lamps.
