QB/T2442.2—1999 This standard is based on the requirements of the State Administration of Quality and Technical Supervision to clean up and rectify national standards. The original national standard GB6295.2-1986 "Pliers and Cutters for Electricians" was changed to an industry standard (this standard was issued by the State Light Industry Bureau [19997112] and converted to QB/T3853.2-1999, the content is the same as before). This standard is based on the original national standard GB6295.2—1986, and refers to the international standard ISO5746:1988 "Pliers and Cutters - Dimensions and Test Values of Wire Cutter and Electrician Pliers". The "A" and "B" classifications of the bending strength of the pliers handle in the original national standard are cancelled. This standard will replace GB6295.2—1986 from the date of implementation. This standard is proposed by the Industry Management Department of the State Bureau of Light Industry. This standard is under the jurisdiction of the National Tool Hardware Standardization Center. The responsible drafting unit of this standard is Shanghai Tool Industry Research Institute; participating drafting units include Shandong Weifang Pliers Factory, Sichuan Mianyang Tool Factory and Anhui Tool General Factory. Example of marking for 180mm electrician's pliers: Electrician's pliers 180mmQB/T2442.2-1999 4 Technical requirements 4.1 Bending strength The bending strength of electrician's pliers must comply with the provisions of Table 2, Table 2 Bending strength 4.2 Shearing performance The shearing performance of electrician's pliers must comply with the provisions of Table 3.
