GB 4407.1-1996 In order to protect the interests of seed production, management and users, avoid the losses caused by the use of unqualified seeds in production, and make the cultivated fine varieties obtain high quality and high yield, a unified quality standard must be used for standardization, and the seed quality standard is specially formulated. Considering the systematic and scientific nature of the layout of the quality standard of crop seeds, new adjustments were made to its overall arrangement during the revision. The economic crop seeds are composed of two independent parts: fiber and oil. Among them, fiber crops include cotton, jute, kenaf, and flax. Based on GB/T3543.1~3543.6-1995 "Inspection Procedures for Crop Seeds", through a large number of years of experimental research, typical investigations, and spot checks, the economic crop seed quality standards (i.e., purity, cleanliness, germination rate and moisture) in GB4408-84 "Cotton Seeds" and GB4409-84 "Hemp Seeds" have been comprehensively revised. At present, there are no hybrid seeds of economic crop seeds. According to the unified regulations, conventional seeds are not graded. Due to the great changes in the inspection methods and judgment standards, the germination rate was changed to seedling judgment, so the value was lower than that before the revision. The purity adopted the rapid method, and the value was generally higher than that before the revision. The standard value of moisture did not change much. This standard was proposed by the Ministry of Agriculture of the People's Republic of China. This standard is under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Crop Seeds. The responsible drafting units of this standard are: National Seed Station, Hebei Seed Station, Shandong Seed Station, Jiangsu Seed Station, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Seed Station, Heilongjiang Seed Administration Bureau, Hunan Seed Station, Gansu Seed Station, Jiangxi Seed Station, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Seed Station, and Cotton Quality Monitoring Center of the Ministry of Agriculture. Main drafters of this standard: Cotton: Li Xiujin, Chen Jianhua, Tang Yongxiang, Deng Yinjin, Zhang Shumin. Hemp: Zhao Juying, Ma Yuchao, Shen Yuexin. Jute: Zhao Juying, Bi Xinhua. Flax: Chang Xiulan, Chen Yajun, Yang Cunbao. This standard is entrusted to the National Agricultural Technology Extension Service Center of the Ministry of Agriculture for interpretation. This standard was first issued in May 1984. 1 Scope National Standard of the People's Republic of China Fiber Main Seeds of economic-Fibres GB 4407.1-1996 Replaces 4409--84 GB4408..--84 This standard specifies the quality requirements, inspection methods and inspection rules for cotton, jute, kenaf and flax seeds. If the purity does not meet the original seed index, it will be downgraded to a good seed, and if it does not meet the good seed index, it will be an unqualified seed. If any one of the purity, germination rate, and moisture does not meet the index, it will be an unqualified seed. 111 Tip: This standard content only shows part of the intercepted content of the complete standard.
