The original standard was first issued in 1986 (standard number is GB/T7093.2-1986). The standard number was changed to GB/T16901.1-1997 when it was first revised in 1997. This is the second revision. This part of GB/T16901 specifies the basic rules for graphic symbols used in design technical documents. This part applies to graphic symbols used on technical documents. This part of GB/T16901 specifies the basic rules for graphic symbols used in design technical documents.
This part applies to graphic symbols used on technical documents. class="f14" style="padding-top:10px; padding-left:12px; padding-bottom:10px;">
GB/T16901 is one of the national standards of the "Graphic Symbol Representation Rules" series. The structure and name of this series of national standards are as follows:
a) GB/T16900 "General Rules for Graphic Symbol Representation".
b) GB/T16901 "Graphic Symbol Representation Rules for Technical Documents", divided into the following three parts:
--- Part 1: Basic rules;
--- Part 2: Computer electronic file format specifications and exchange requirements for graphic symbols (including graphic symbols in the reference symbol library);
--- Part 3: Classification of connection points, networks and their coding.
c) GB/T16902 "Rules for the Representation of Graphical Symbols for Equipment" is divided into the following four parts:
--- Part 1: Prototype symbols;
--- Part 2: Form and use of arrows;
--- Part 3: Application guidelines;
--- Part 4: Applicable rules for graphic symbols (icons) for screens and displays.
d) GB/T16903 "Rules for the Representation of Graphical Symbols for Signs" is divided into the following two parts:
--- Part 1: Design principles for public information graphic symbols;
--- Part 2: Test procedures.
This part is the first part of GB/T16901. This part is modified by ISO81714-1:1999 "Design of graphic symbols for product technical documents Part 1: Basic rules" (English version). For ease of use, this part makes the following editorial changes to ISO 81714-1:1999:
--- Changed some expressions applicable to international standards into expressions applicable to Chinese standards;
--- Deleted the foreword of the international standard;
--- Changed Figures 3, 16 and 17 in the international standard into tables;
--- Replaced English with Chinese in some examples;
--- Changed some paragraphs in the body of the standard into itemized form without changing the structure of the international standard.
Compared with ISO81714-1:1999, this part has the following technical differences:
--- Add normative references, GB/T1988, GB/T15565, GB/T16900, GB/T17450, GB/T14691 and IEC60027;
--- Replace the referenced document ISO31-11 in the original international standard with GB3102 (all parts) which is equivalent to the international standard;
--- Replace the original international standard referenced document ISO129 with GB/T4458.4;
--- Delete some terms that have been specified in the normative reference document GB/T15565.
This part replaces GB/T16901.1-1997 "Rules for the representation of graphic symbols - Graphical symbols for technical documents - Part 1: Basic rules". The main technical changes of this part compared with GB/T16901.1-1997 are as follows:
--- Delete the normative reference documents GB3101, GB4457.4 and GB/T15273;
--- Add the terms reference point (3.6 of this edition) and symbol family (3.1 of this edition);
--- Change configuration to shape (5.2 of 1997 edition, 6.1 of this edition);
--- Change orientation adjustment to orientation of graphic symbols (6.2 of 1997 edition, Chapter 8 of this edition);
--- Delete the relevant provisions on registration of graphic symbols (Chapter 7 of 1997 edition).
This part is proposed and managed by the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Graphic Symbols (SAC/TC59).
The drafting organizations of this part are China National Institute of Standardization, National Technical Committee for Standardization of Technical Product Documents (SAC/TC146), National Technical Committee for Standardization of Electrical Information Structure, Documentation and Graphical Symbols (SAC/TC27).
The main drafters of this part are Chen Yongquan, Bai Dianyi, Yang Dongbai, Guo Ting, Zou Chuanyu and Zhang Liang.
The original standard was first issued in 1986 (standard number is GB/T7093.2-1986). When it was first revised in 1997, the standard number was changed to GB/T16901.1-1997. This is the second revision. The clauses in the following documents become the clauses of this part through reference in this part of GB/T16901. For all dated referenced documents, all subsequent amendments (excluding errata) or revisions are not applicable to this part. However, the parties to the agreement based on this part are encouraged to study whether the latest versions of these documents can be used. For all undated referenced documents, the latest versions shall apply to this part.
