Method for determining the water expansion and shrinkage of photographic fllm base1 Subject content and scope of application
This standard specifies the method for determining the water expansion and shrinkage of photographic fllm base. GB/T15059--94
This standard applies to the determination method of the expansion and shrinkage of cellulose triacetate base or polyester base, and also to the determination of the expansion and shrinkage of film.
2 Method overview
Use a base or film sample of a certain size, and soak it in distilled water at a specified temperature for a certain period of time. Its length and width will increase and change. Measure the size of the sample before and after soaking, and calculate its change percentage, which is the expansion rate of the sample. Then dry the soaked sample at a specified temperature for a certain period of time, and the length of the sample will shrink. Measure the size of the sample after drying, and calculate its change percentage based on the size of the sample before soaking, which is the shrinkage rate of the sample. 3 Test equipment

4 Environmental conditions
GB/T15059--94
Special standard plate
The sample should be balanced in an environment with a temperature of 23±2°C and a relative humidity of 50%±5%, and tested under this condition. 5 Sample preparation
5.1 The sample should be representative. For the rolled film base or film, at least 2 to 3 layers of the outer layer of the film roll should be discarded first, and then a 120mm full-width sample should be cut as the test sample. For other products, the sampling size can be directly cut according to the actual situation. 5.2 For rolled products, the longitudinal direction of the sample refers to the direction of the film base or film machine operation, and the transverse direction refers to the direction perpendicular to the machine operation. For other products that cannot be distinguished between longitudinal and transverse directions, the direction can be specified when sampling. 5.3 The surface of the sample should be free of creases, scratches, bubbles, foreign matter, water spots and other defects. 6 Test steps
6.1 For the rolled film base or film, cut a full-width sample of 120mml. according to the requirements of 5.1 and balance it for at least 15 hours according to the conditions specified in Chapter 4.
6.2 From the balanced sample, cut three 100mm×100mm samples at equal intervals and mark the sample longitudinally and transversely. 6.3 Using the empty slots of the special standard plate, use a stylus to lightly draw two vertical and horizontal lines on the film substrate surface (or film emulsion surface) of each sample, and then mark the intersection point at the intersection of the lines and the standard plate line. 6.4 Measure the distances M and N between the intersection points of the vertical and horizontal lines of each sample on the Abbe comparator. 6.5 Immerse the sample in distilled water at 40±1℃ and pH6~8 for 30 minutes. 6.6 Use filter paper to absorb the sample taken out of the water, and then measure the distances between the vertical and horizontal lines of each sample on the Abbe comparator, which are MNt.
6.7 Then put each sample in a box towel at 50±2'C to dry for 30 minutes, and then take it out and balance it to the test conditions, that is, measure the distances between the vertical and horizontal lines of each sample on the Abbe comparator GB/T 15059--94
, which are M2 and N respectively. 7 Test results
7.1 Calculation of test results
7.1.1 Expansion rate (%) Calculate according to formula (1), <2), E
Longitudinal expansion rate, %,
Where: E,
MDistance between longitudinal scale lines before specimen is immersed in water, mmsMf,
Longitudinal distance between scale lines after specimen is immersed in water, mm. N,-N
Where: E—
Transverse expansion rate, %;
Distance between transverse scale lines before specimen is flooded with water, mm, N,-—Distance between transverse scale lines after specimen is flooded with water, mm. 7.1.2 Shrinkage (%) is calculated according to formula (3) and (4): s,
Longitudinal shrinkage, %
Where: S
M - M2
M—Distance between longitudinal scale lines of the sample before flooding, mmlM,—Distance between longitudinal scale lines of the sample after flooding and drying, mmrn. S,
Where: S. Transverse shrinkage, %:
N-Distance between transverse scale lines of the sample before flooding, mmX100
N. Height of transverse scale lines of the sample after flooding and drying, mm. 1
(3)
The calculation results of expansion and shrinkage are accurate to two decimal places. The arithmetic mean of the test results of three samples is taken as the expansion or shrinkage of the sample. The relative deviation of the test result of any sample from the average value shall not exceed 20%. If it exceeds, the test is invalid and the sample should be repeated.
7.2 Repeatability of the method
The same operator, in the same laboratory. This method is used to measure the same sample multiple times (not less than 10 times), and the relative standard deviation of the results obtained is not more than 10%.
7.3 Test report
The report should include the following:
Relevant information of the sample. For example, name, type, source, manufacturer's product number, coating conditions, etc.; sample balance conditions and test conditions,
length and width of the sample
number of samples;
test date;
measured test data and calculation results of each drink; description of abnormal phenomena found in the test. Note:bZxz.net
