This standard specifies the test conditions and test methods for the minimum steady speed test for motorcycles and mopeds. This standard applies to the test of the minimum steady speed of motorcycles and mopeds (except racing cars and vehicles with automatic clutches). 2 Reference standards
GB/T5378 General principles for road tests for motorcycles and mopeds 3 Test conditions
3.1 It shall comply with the provisions of GB/T5378.
3.2 A test section of 50 m in length shall be set up, and there shall be sufficiently long auxiliary driving areas at the front and rear ends. 4 Test method
4.1 In the auxiliary driving area, put the transmission of the test vehicle in the gear position specified for the test, and control the throttle to reach the minimum speed for stable driving. Pass the test section in a straight line at this speed and measure the time to pass the test section. 4.2 After the test vehicle leaves the test area, immediately open the throttle fully, and its engine should not stall and the transmission system should not vibrate. Then measure the time t2 to pass the test section in the reverse direction according to the provisions of Article 4.1. 4.3 During the test, the clutch of the test vehicle should be in a fully engaged state, and the brake is not allowed to be used to slow down the test vehicle. 4.4 If the engine of the test vehicle stalls or the transmission system vibrates during the test, it is allowed to adjust the speed and re-test. 4.5 Calculate the minimum stable vehicle speed according to the following formula:
Where: min — minimum stable vehicle speed, km/h; t
-time to pass the test section on the way forward, s3
-time to pass the test section on the way back, s. ta
4.6 One round trip is one test, and the test is carried out twice. The smaller value is taken as the minimum stable vehicle speed. The test data and results are recorded in the table of Appendix A (Supplement).
