GB/T 4171 2000
This standard is a revision of GB/T4171-1984 "Superior atmospheric corrosionresisting structural steel" based on the development and application of weathering steel and with reference to relevant international and domestic standards.
This revision of the standard has made retroactive modifications to the following major technical contents: 1. Changing the grade cousin method;
1. Adding strength levels and grades:
Adjusting the chemical or mechanical properties of each grade, reducing the sulfur content and carbon content, adding the 20℃ impact test, and improving the main performance indicators.
This standard replaces G3/T4171-1984 High Weathering Structural Steel from the date of implementation. Appendix A of this standard is a prompt appendix.
This standard was proposed by the State Metallurgical Industry Bureau. This standard is under the jurisdiction of the National Steel Standardization Technical Committee. This standard was launched by the Metallurgical Industry Information Standards Research Institute, and Wuhan Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd. was responsible for drafting. The main drafters of this standard are: Tang Yifan, Huang E, Zeng Ping, Luan Yan, Deng Yingxian, and Liu Baoshi. This standard was first published in 1984.

National Standard of the People's Republic of China
Superior atmospheric corrosion-resistant structural steel
GB/T 4171 2000
Substitute GB/T 4171—1984
This standard specifies the definition, size, shape, technical requirements, test methods, acceptance rules, packaging, marking, quality certification, etc. of superior atmospheric corrosion-resistant structural steel.
This standard is applicable to hot-rolled, cold-rolled steel plates, steel strips and steel sections resistant to atmospheric corrosion. The products of vehicles, containers, buildings, towers and other structural parts are usually used in the delivery state, and can be made into bolted, riveted and welded structural parts. The thickness of steel used as welded structural parts should generally not exceed 16 mm.

This standard adopts the following definitions:
Weathering steel Atmospheric corrosion resistant steel.
High weathering steel is a steel with a small amount of alloying elements, such as Cu, P, Cr, Ni, etc., added to form a protective layer on the surface of the metal matrix to improve the weathering resistance of the steel. This type of steel has better weathering resistance than weathering steel for welded structures and is called high weathering structural steel. 4 Classification and code
4.1 Classification
High weathering resistant structural steel is divided into two categories according to the main chemical warfare elements: copper-phosphorus steel
Copper-phosphorus chromium-nickel steel
4.2 Grade indication method
The steel grade consists of the Chinese phonetic letters representing "yield point" and "high weathering resistance" and the number of the yield point. The high weathering steel containing Cr and Ni is added with the code "L" after the grade.
For example: Q345GNHL
Q is the first letter of the Chinese phonetic letter of the character "Qi"; GNH·- are the first letters of the Chinese phonetic letters of the three characters "high", "resistant" and "weathering" respectively; 345 is the number of the yield point, in MPa; I.--the code of high weathering resistant steel whose main components contain chromium and nickel. 5 Dimensions, shapes and allowable deviations
5.1 The dimensions, shapes and allowable deviations of steel plates and strips shall comply with the relevant provisions of GB/T709 and GB/T708. 5.2 The dimensions, shapes and allowable deviations of steel sections shall comply with the provisions of relevant standards. 6 Technical requirements
6.1 Chemical composition of grades
6. 1.1 The grades and chemical composition of steel shall comply with the provisions of Table 1. 6.1.2 The upper limit of manganese content of Q295GNH can be 1.00%, and the lower limit of silicon content can be 0.10%. 6.1.3 When rare earth elements (RE) are added, the lower limit of the amount added is 0.02%. 6.1.4
In order to improve the performance of steel, each grade can add one or more trace alloying elements such as saw, niobium, vanadium, etc. 6.1.5 The allowable deviation of the chemical composition of finished steel and steel bars shall comply with GB/T.222. Brand
