GB/T10001 "Public Information Graphical Symbols for Signs" is divided into several parts: Part 1 General symbols
- Part 2: Tourism facilities and service symbols Part 3: Transport service symbols
- Part 4: Sports symbols
This part is Part 2 of GB/T10001, corresponding to ISO7001:1990 "Public Information Graphical Symbols" (English version) and ISO7001:1990/Amd.1:1993 (English version), and the degree of consistency with ISO7001 is non-equivalent. This part is redrafted based on ISO7001.
The graphic symbols related to skiing and cable cars in this part are selected from IS07001, and the symbols are: rail cable car, large-capacity aerial cable car, small-capacity aerial cable car, single-chair aerial cable car, double-chair aerial cable car, triple-chair aerial cable car, quadruple-chair aerial cable car: close safety bar, open safety bar, close overhead safety bar, open overhead safety bar, walking tourists must get off, skiers must get off, pick up the front end of the ski, ski lift, steep slope ski lift, double column arrangement, triple column arrangement, quadruple column arrangement. This part partially replaces GB10001-1994 "Graphic Symbols for Public Information Signs", that is, there are 16 symbols selected from GB10001~1994: laundry, drying clothes, ironing, chess and cards, karaoke, dance hall, sauna, massage, swimming, table tennis, billiards, bowling, golf, squash, tennis, fitness, among which 8 graphic symbols have been modified: chess and cards, sauna, massage, swimming, table tennis, billiards, bowling, golf. According to actual needs, this part also newly designs 15 graphic symbols for tourism services: domestic direct dial telephone, international direct dial telephone, team reception, disabled guest room, room service, ordering, photography printing, business center, electronic games, jogging trails, fishing, boating, horse riding, shooting, hunting.
This part is proposed by China Standard Research Center. This part is under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee for Graphic Symbol Standardization. Drafting units of this part: China Standard Research Center, National Tourism Administration, and Academy of Arts and Crafts of Tsinghua University. The main drafters of this standard are: Zhang Liang, Bai Dianyi, Chen Yuanqiao, He Li, He Jie, An Yaoshun, Chen Yongquan. The original standard was first issued in 1988, and GB3818-1983 and GB10001--1988 were merged in the 1994 revision. GB/T10001.1-2000 and GB/T10001.2--2002 jointly replace GB10001--1994. 1 Scope

This part of GB/T10001 specifies the public information graphic symbols for signs of tourist facilities and services (hereinafter referred to as graphic symbols). This part applies to tourist attractions, service facilities, means of transport and other public places, as well as publications and other information carriers. 2 Normative references

For all dated references, all subsequent amendments (excluding errata) or revisions are not applicable to this part. However, parties to agreements based on this part are encouraged to study whether the latest versions of these documents can be used. For all undated references, the latest versions apply to this part.
