This standard applies to pipes and fittings made of ABS resin and modified ABS resin pellets, extruded or injection molded, but not to glass fiber reinforced ABS pipes and fittings. Subject content and scope of application
This standard specifies the structural dimensions, tolerances, technical conditions and inspection methods of acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) (hereinafter referred to as ABS) pipes and fittings (including pipe joints, tees, crosses, elbows, reducers, back caps, pipe flanges, etc.) with a size of DN15 to DN200. This standard applies to pipes and fittings made of ARS resin and modified ABS resin pellets by extrusion and injection molding, and does not apply to glass fiber reinforced ABS pipes and fittings. ABS pipes and fittings are mainly used in the chemical industry to transport certain corrosive fluids, and can also be used in food, medicine, pure water preparation and water treatment equipment. The operating temperature range is -20℃ to +70℃. GB4217-84

Nominal pressure and working pressure
The nominal pressure of the pipe is the maximum pressure that the pipe can withstand when conveying water at 20℃.
The working pressure of the pipe is the maximum pressure that the pipe can withstand when in continuous use. The nominal pressure grades of ABS pipes are divided into 0.6MPa and 1.0MFa.
