This standard applies to all types of enterprises that produce and use ethylbenzene. 2 Hygiene requirements The maximum allowable concentration of ethylbenzene in the air of workplace is 50mg/m. 3 Monitoring and inspection methods The monitoring and inspection methods of this standard adopt gas chromatography, see Appendix A. 4 Supervision and implementation Health administrative departments at all levels are responsible for supervising the implementation of this standard. Approved by the State Administration of Technical Supervision on April 3, 1996376 GB 16182-1996 Implementation on September 1, 1996 A1 Principle GB 16182-1996 Appendix A Gas chromatography (Supplement) Ethylbenzene in the air is collected by activated carbon tube and injected after thermal desorption. After separation on di-orthophthalate-organic soap 34 columns, it is detected by hydrogen flame ionization detector. Qualitative analysis is based on retention time and quantitative analysis is based on peak height. The detection limit of this method is 3×10-3ug (injection of 1mL desorbed gas sample). A2 Instruments A2.1 Activated carbon tube: Use a glass tube with a length of 150mm, an inner diameter of 3.5~~4.0mm, and an outer diameter of about 6mm to load 100mg GH-1 type activated carbon, fix both ends with a small amount of glass wool, put it in a 300~350℃ thermal desorption device, blow it with nitrogen at a speed of 1mL/s for 5min, and then cover both ends with silicone rubber caps for on-site sampling. When loading activated carbon, the space at both ends of the glass tube should be long and short, with the short end as the sampling inlet end and the thermal desorption outlet end. A2.2 Syringe: 100ml, 1mL. A2.3 Silicone rubber tube: 4mm×6mm. A2.4 Gas chromatograph, hydrogen flame ionization detector. A2.5 Thermal desorption device: mainly composed of a heater, a heat controller, a temperature gauge, a positioner, a gas resistance tube and a six-way valve. A3 Reagents Ethylbenzene, chromatographic grade. Organic soap 34, chromatographic stationary liquid. A3.3 Dinonyl phthalate (DNP), chromatographic stationary liquid. A3.4 Shimalite (101) support, 80-100 mesh. A3.5 Glass wool. A3.6 Glass funnel, 30mm in diameter. A4 Sampling Before sampling, open the activated carbon tube and connect it to the individual sampling pump (or connect it to a 100mL syringe), draw 1L of air at a speed of 0.1L/min, and quickly cover both ends with silicone rubber caps. At the same time, make two blank tubes and bring them back to the laboratory for analysis. A5 Analysis steps A5.1 Chromatographic conditions Chromatographic column 2m long, 4mm inner diameter stainless steel column, organic soap 34: dinonyl phthalate: Shimalite support-a. 5:5, 100. Column temperature 85℃. b, vaporization chamber temperature: 250℃C. c, detection chamber temperature: 200℃. d, carrier gas (nitrogen): 40mL/min. A5.2 Standard curve drawing Use the dynamic gas distribution method to prepare 0.15, 0.30, and 0.60μg/mL ethylbenzene standard gas. Take 1mL for injection respectively. Measure the retention time and peak height, repeat each concentration 3 times, take the average value of the peak height, plot the ethylbenzene content against the peak height, and draw the standard curve. The retention time is a qualitative 377 indicator. A5.3 Sample analysis GB 161821996 Put the activated carbon sample tube on a 350℃ thermal desorption device, desorb into a 100mL syringe at a rate of 1ml/s, and take 1ml for injection. Use retention time for qualitative analysis and peak height for quantitative analysis.
