This standard applies to intermodal general-purpose flat pallets for road, rail and water transport.
This standard adopts ISO6780:2003 "Main dimensions and tolerances of international material handling flat pallets" (English version), and is revised from GB/T2934-1996 "Main dimensions and tolerances of intermodal general-purpose flat pallets" in combination with the current status of flat pallet production and use in China. Compared with GB/T2934-1996,
the main changes of this standard are: the plane dimensions of the pallet are determined as two types. The two pallet plane dimensions are selected from the six pallet plane dimensions of ISO6780:2003, and one of the four pallet plane dimensions of GB/T2934-1996 is retained.
This standard replaces GB/T2934-1996.
This standard is proposed and managed by the National Technical Committee for Logistics Standardization.
The drafting units of this standard are: Ministry of Transport Science and Technology Research Institute, China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing Pallet Professional Committee, Zhongying Logistics Science and Technology Union Co., Ltd., Ministry of Railways Standard Metrology Research Institute, National Packaging Standardization Technical Committee, Wuxi Qiancheng Wood Packaging Co., Ltd., China International Marine Containers (Group) Co., Ltd. Dalian CIMC Container Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Baoxing Wood Products Factory, China Railway Express Co., Ltd.
The main drafters of this standard are: Xiong Caiqi, Tang Ying, Wu Qingyi, Li Ying, Huang Jiujiu, Zhang Jin, Wang Li, Xu Ping, Yao Yuntong, Yang Chengshuang, Zhi Yumin.
The previous versions of the standards replaced by this standard are:

Pallet Width
The dimension of the plank perpendicular to the length of the pallet. [GB/T3716—2000, definition 10.1.2]
End
Vertical surface of the pallet in the width direction.
Side
Vertical surface of the pallet in the length direction.

In order to facilitate the insertion of forks of pallet trucks, the dimensions of chamfered edges of bottom decks are as follows: the angle between the chamfered slope and the horizontal plane is 40°±5°; a)
The vertical height of the chamfer should not be greater than 16mm; the maximum distance from the side end of the chamfer to the separation point of the deck is 65mm. c)
5.4 Protruding dimensions of pallet decks
The protrusion of the board edge should be less than 65mm, and the protrusion of the wing should be no less than 65mm. 5.5 Supporting surface of bottom decks
The minimum supporting surface of all pallets should not be less than 35% of the nominal dimension of the outer contour (projection) of the bottom deck plane. 5.6 Diagonal deviation
The difference in the length of the two diagonals of the pallet plane should not be greater than 1% of the diagonal length. 5.7 Flatness
