GB/T2836—1998 This standard is revised on the basis of the original GB/T2836-1981 with reference to Appendix D “Hydrostatic Test” of British Standard BS65-1991 “Sintered Ceramic Pipes, Fittings and Joints” and Chapter 7 “Hydrostatic Test” of American Standard ASTMC301-1991 “Standard Test Methods for Sintered Ceramic Pipes”. This revision only modifies the standard format and text. This standard replaces GB/T2836—1981 from the date of its release and implementation. This standard is proposed by the State Administration of Building Materials Industry. This standard is under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Industrial Ceramics. This standard is drafted by Shandong Industrial Ceramics Research and Design Institute of the State Administration of Building Materials Industry. The main drafters of this standard are: Li Dongsheng, Wang Xian, Ma Yan, and Lu Fenghua. This standard is entrusted to Shandong Industrial Ceramics Research and Design Institute of the State Administration of Building Materials Industry for interpretation. This standard was first released in 1981. 1 Scope National Standard of the People's Republic of China Test method for hydrostatic proof of vitrified clay pipe Test method for hydrostatic proof of vitrified clay pipe This standard specifies the specimen, test device, test steps and test report for hydrostatic test of vitrified clay pipe. This standard applies to the test of the anti-permeability of vitrified clay pipe under a certain water pressure. 2 Definitions This standard adopts the following definitions. Anti-permeability refers to the ability of vitrified clay pipe to withstand a certain internal hydrostatic pressure without leakage of the pipe wall. 3 SpecimenbZxz.net GB/T 2836—1998 Replaces GB/T2836—1981 The specimen is a whole vitrified clay pipe. The end face or the bottom surface of the socket of the specimen should be flat and free of sticky scars or cracks to facilitate sealing. 4 Test device 4.1 The test device is shown in Figure 1. The device should ensure the sealing of the ceramic tube end face and facilitate the filling of the ceramic tube with clean water. Note: Other types of devices that can meet the above requirements can also be used for this test. 1-Water inlet valve: 2-Connect to the test pressure pump 3-Air outlet valve: 4-Pressure gauge: 5, 8-Rubber sealing ring, 6, 9-End cover plate, 7-Ceramic tube sample Figure 1 Test device diagram 4.2 An automatic or manual test pressure pump can be used to apply hydrostatic pressure to the inside of the ceramic tube, or other A device that can maintain a certain hydrostatic pressure can be used to achieve the purpose of applying pressure to the inside of the ceramic tube. 4.3 Use a pressure gauge to measure the hydrostatic pressure inside the ceramic tube. The pressure gauge has an accuracy of at least Class 1. 5 Test steps 5.1 Seal both ends of the ceramic tube properly. Inject clean water into the tube until the inside of the tube is full, and close the air outlet valve and water inlet valve. Approved by the State Administration of Quality and Technical Supervision on October 12, 199816 Implementation on April 1, 1999 GB/T 2836—1998 5.2 Use a pressure test pump to gradually apply hydrostatic pressure to the inside of the ceramic tube. The pressure growth rate should be controlled to reach the test pressure value specified in the product standard after 30s. Note: Regardless of the device used, the highest point in the tube should reach the specified pressure value. 5.3 Maintain the specified pressure for 5 minutes. If the ceramic tube does not break or leak on the surface, it is qualified. 6 Test report The test report should include the following contents: a) Sample name and number: b) Standard number; c) Sample nominal size and sample quantity; d) Hydrostatic pressure value, pressure maintenance time, and test observation results for each sample during the test; e) Test period and test personnel.
