This standard specifies the type, size, material, technical conditions, marking and relevant use regulations of carbon steel stuffing boxes for stirring transmission devices.

4 Technical conditions
The connection between the stuffing box body flange and the stirring transmission device installation bottom cover is a concave-convex surface connection, and the stuffing box body is a convex 4.0.1
surface, and the fit is H7/h6.
4.0.2 The verticality tolerance between the body flange sealing surface and the axis is in accordance with the 8th grade accuracy of GB1184-80. 4.0.3 The surface roughness of the shaft in contact with the packing is not greater than Ra0.8μm (0.8). 4.0.4 After the stuffing box is assembled, it is tested for air tightness together with the equipment. Usage regulations
5.0.1 The use of the stuffing box shall comply with the provisions of HG21563. 5.0.2 The specifications of the stuffing box shall be determined according to the diameter d of the transmission shaft. 5.0.3 The stuffing shall be soft stuffing, and the stuffing type and requirements shall be determined according to the operating conditions, and shall be indicated on the equipment assembly drawing. General asbestos or diffused asbestos packing is only used in occasions where the sealing requirements are not high. New high-performance stuffing such as expanded polytetrafluoroethylene, flexible graphite, carbon fiber, and aromatic sulfone packing should be selected according to the corresponding product instructions. 5.0.4 The stuffing should be processed and pressed into a ring-shaped stuffing before use to improve the sealing performance. 5.0.5 This standard stuffing box is oil-lubricated, and the lubricating oil will flow into the container along the shaft. Therefore, for materials that are not allowed to be contaminated, an oil storage cup should be set on the lower end shaft of the stuffing box. 169
