The terms and definitions established in GB/T 4122. 1 and GB 19434.1 and the following terms and definitions apply to this standard. 3.1
Intermediate bulk containers (IBCs) are also called intermediate bulk cargo containers. They refer to rigid or flexible portable containers outside the scope specified in GB19433.1. These containers: a) have the following capacity:
not more than 3.0m3 for solids and liquids of group II and group II packaging,
not more than 1.5m3 for solids of group I packaging in flexible, rigid plastic, composite, fiberboard and wooden intermediate bulk containers;
not more than 3.0m3 for solids of group I packaging in metal intermediate bulk containers; b) designed for mechanical loading and unloading;
) can withstand the stress generated during loading and unloading and transportation, which is determined by test. 3.2
Body
The container itself, including the opening and its closing device, but excluding auxiliary equipment. Applicable to all types of intermediate bulk containers except composite intermediate bulk containers.
Handling device
Various lifting rings, loops, hooks and frames fixed on the body of an intermediate bulk container or extended from the body material. Applicable to flexible intermediate bulk containers.
Maximum allowable gross mass Maximum allowable gross mass The mass of the shell and its auxiliary equipment and structural devices plus the maximum allowable loading mass (applicable to all types of intermediate bulk containers except flexible bulk containers)www.bzxz.net

Drop test drop test
A test to evaluate the ability of the package to withstand vertical impact and the ability of the package to protect the contents by dropping the package at a specified height onto a hard, flat horizontal surface.
Drop height dropheight
Refers to the distance between the lowest point of the test sample and the impact table when it is ready to be released. 4 Test equipment
4.1 Impact table
The intermediate bulk container shall fall onto a hard, inelastic, smooth, flat and horizontal surface. The impact table plane shall be horizontal, shall not move or deform during the test, and shall meet the following requirements: - It shall be a whole object with a mass at least 50 times the mass of the test sample; - It shall have a large enough area to ensure that the test sample falls completely on the impact table; - The horizontal height difference between any two points on the impact table shall not exceed 2 mm. When any 100mm area on the impact table is subjected to a static load of 10kg, its deformation shall not exceed 0.1mm. 4.2 Lifting device
The test sample shall not be damaged during the lifting or lowering process. 4.3 Support device
The device supporting the test sample shall keep the test sample in the required predetermined state before release. 4.4 Release device
During the falling process of releasing the test sample, the test sample shall not touch any part of the device to ensure its free fall. 5 Test Procedure
5.1 Number of Test Specimens
The number of test specimens is 3.
5.2 Preparation of Test Specimens
5.2.1 According to the design type, the intermediate bulk container used for transporting solids shall be filled to not less than 95% of its capacity, and the intermediate bulk container used for transporting liquids shall be filled to not less than 98% of its capacity. 5.2.2 The pressure relief device shall be determined to be in an inoperative state, or the pressure relief device shall be removed and its opening blocked. 5.2.3 When testing rigid plastic intermediate bulk containers, the test shall be carried out when the temperature of the sample and its contents drops to -18°C or lower. If the material of the test sample has sufficient ductility and tensile strength at -18°C or lower, this temperature treatment may not be considered.
5.2.4 The test liquid shall remain in liquid state, and antifreeze may be added if necessary. 5.2.5 The intended cargo of the intermediate bulk container may be replaced by other substances, but it shall not affect the test results. If it is a bulk substance, when another substance is used instead, the physical properties (mass, particle size, etc.) of the substitute substance should be the same as the substance to be transported. It is allowed to use additives such as bags of lead shot to achieve the specified total mass of the package, as long as the placement of the additives does not affect the test results. 5.2.6 Fiberboard intermediate bulk containers and composite intermediate bulk containers with fiberboard outer packaging should be conditioned for at least 24 hours under atmospheric conditions of controlled temperature and relative humidity. There are three options, from which one can be selected. It is recommended that the temperature and humidity conditions of 23℃±2℃ and 50%±2% be selected. The other two options are 20℃±2℃ and 65%±2% or 27℃±2℃ and 65%±2%. Note: The measurement process allows individual relative accuracies to fluctuate by ±5% in the short term, but the average value should be within the above limits, and the fluctuation should have no effect on the re-testing of the test results.
5.3 Drop height
5.3.1 For solids and liquids, if the test is carried out with the solid or liquid to be transported, or with another substance with essentially the same physical properties, the drop height is given in Table 1.
I Packaging Group
Note: Definitions of I, II and II packaging groups are shown in GB 19270.1. Table 1 Drop height
II Packaging Group
GB/T 21587—2008
Unit: meter
Sub-packaging group
5.3.2 When performing a drop test on a box to be loaded with liquid, if another substance is used instead, the relative density and viscosity of this substance should be similar to those of the substance to be transported. Water can also be used for the drop test. The drop height is as follows: If the relative density (d) of the substance to be transported does not exceed 1.2, the drop height is shown in Table 1; if the relative density (d) of the substance to be transported is greater than 1.2, the drop quotient of the substance to be transported should be calculated according to Table 2 (round off to the first decimal place).

Note: Definitions of I, IIII and II packaging are given in GB19270.1.5.4 Test steps
II packaging
5.4.1 Prepare the intermediate bulk sample to be tested according to the test conditions in 5.1. 5.4.2 The drop method should be such that the most vulnerable part of the bottom of the intermediate bulk container is the impact point. Field packaging
Unit is meter
5.4.3 The capacity is equal to or less than 0.For medium bulk containers with a length of 45m, a flat drop test should also be conducted on the sides, top and corners. 5.4.4 Without affecting the accuracy of the test results, the same sample is allowed to be subjected to more than two drop tests.
