1 Scope
Hydraulic test method for intermediate bulk containers of dangerous goods GB/T 21586—2008
This standard specifies the test equipment, number of specimens, specimen preparation, test procedures and test report for the hydraulic test of composite, rigid plastic and metal intermediate bulk containers of dangerous goods.
This standard is applicable to the hydraulic test of composite, rigid plastic and metal intermediate bulk containers of dangerous goods. 2 Normative references

GB/T4122.1 and GB19434.1 and the following terms and definitions apply to this standard. 3.1
Intermediate bulk containers (IBCs) are also called intermediate bulk cargo containers. They refer to rigid or flexible removable containers outside the scope of GB1.9433.1. These containers: a) have the following capacity:
when packing solids and liquids of class II and III packaging, not more than 3.0m;
when packing solids of class I packaging in flexible, rigid plastic, composite, fiberboard and wooden intermediate bulk containers, not more than 1.5m;
when packing solids of class I packaging in metal intermediate bulk containers, not more than 3.0m; b) designed for mechanical loading and unloading;
c) can withstand the stress generated during loading and unloading and transportation, which is determined by test. 3.2
Body
The container itself, including the opening and its closing device, but excluding auxiliary equipment. Applicable to all types of intermediate bulk containers except composite intermediate containers.

Hydraulic test leakage seal test
A test to continuously and evenly apply hydraulic pressure to the packaging container to be filled with liquid, to evaluate the hydraulic pressure that the package or packaging container can withstand and the protection ability of the packaging contents.
4 Test equipment

5.1 Determine which types of metal, composite, rigid plastic dangerous goods intermediate bulk containers need to be subjected to hydraulic pressure test according to GB19434.5, GB19434.6 and GB19434.8.
5.2 Number of samples

5.3 Test preparation
The experiment should be carried out before installing the insulation equipment. The pressure relief equipment and the vent closing device should be in the non-operating state, or these devices should be removed and the openings blocked.
5.4 Test steps
5.4.1 This test should be carried out at a pressure not lower than the specified pressure for at least 10 minutes. During the test, the intermediate bulk container shall not be subject to any mechanical restraint.
5.4.2 Applied pressure
5.4.2.1 For the pressure applied to the intermediate bulk containers of dangerous goods, see GB19434.5; 5.4.2.2 For the pressure applied to the intermediate bulk containers of composite dangerous goods, see GB19434.6; 5.4.2.3 For the pressure applied to the intermediate bulk containers of rigid plastic dangerous goods, see GB19434.8. 5.5 Test requirements
5.5.1 For intermediate bulk containers of types 21A, 21B, 21N, 31A, 31B and 31N: meet the specified pressure test requirements and have no leakage. 5.5.2 For intermediate bulk containers of types 31A, 31B and 31N: accept the specified test pressure, the intermediate bulk containers shall not show any permanent deformation that will endanger the safety of transportation and have no leakage. 5.5.3 Rigid plastic and composite intermediate bulk containers: The intermediate bulk containers shall not have any permanent deformation that may endanger transportation safety and shall not be leaking.
5.5.4 All test samples meet the requirements and the test is deemed qualified. 6 Test report
