The terms and definitions established in GB/T 4122.1 and CB19434.1. and the following terms and definitions apply to this standard. 3.1
Intermediate hulk containers (IBCs) are also called intermediate bulk cargo containers. They refer to rigid or flexible portable containers outside the scope of GB19433.1. These containers: a) have the following capacity:
: - not more than 30m3 for solids and liquids of Class II and sub-class packaging; - not more than 1.5m3 for solids of Class I packaging in flexible, rigid plastic, composite, fiberboard and wooden intermediate bulk containers;
not more than 3.0m3 for solids of Class I packaging in metal intermediate bulk containers; b) designed for mechanical loading and unloading;
able to withstand the stress generated during loading and unloading and transportation, which should be determined by test. 3.2
Body
The container itself, including the opening and its closing device, but excluding auxiliary equipment. Applicable to all types of intermediate hulk containers except composite intermediate bulk containers.
Handling device
All kinds of lifting rings, loops, hooks and frames fixed on the body of the intermediate bulk container or extended from the body material. Applicable to flexible 1

maximum permissible gross mass maximum permissible gross mass the mass of the shell and its auxiliary equipment and structural devices plus the maximum permissible loading mass (applicable to all types of intermediate bulk containers except flexible bulk bags).
4Test equipment
Crane or other equivalent test equipment.
5Test procedure
5.1Test preparation
5.1.1Metal, rigid plastic and composite intermediate bulk containers shall be filled and loaded with an evenly distributed load. The mass of the filled intermediate bulk container and the load shall be twice the maximum permissible gross mass. 5.1.2 Flexible intermediate bulk containers shall be filled to six times their maximum permissible total mass, with the load evenly distributed. 5.2 Number of test specimens
The number of test specimens shall be three.
5.3 Test procedures
