If the above diesel engine is running on the actual ship and on the test bench, this standard can be used as a reference for vibration rating. Definition of equivalent vibration intensity This standard adopts the equivalent vibration intensity of the whole machine as the evaluation value, which is defined as follows; V=)*+()+() V. Equivalent vibration intensity, mm/s: Where: VxVyV,- are the effective values of vibration velocity in the three directions of x, y, z, respectively, mm/s; V,, and V, are the number of measuring points in the three directions of x, y, z, respectively. The measurement of V, V, and V, values shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of CB*3154-83 "Vibration Measurement Method for Marine Diesel Engines". 2 Classification of diesel engine support conditions When evaluating the vibration quality of diesel engines, the following support conditions can be selected as needed: a. Diesel engine without vibration isolation: the diesel engine is directly installed on the base, b. Diesel engine with vibration isolation: the diesel engine is installed on the base through a specific elastic element (shock absorber), and the elastic element used must be a component that is normally used with the engine. 8 Classification and evaluation of vibration values According to the maximum equivalent vibration severity V measured under the specified working conditions, the diesel engine engine dynamic quality is divided into A, B, C, and D grades.
