JB/T 50168-1999 This standard is a revision of ZB J01 018-88 "Energy Consumption Classification of Aluminum Melting Furnaces". This standard specifies the energy consumption levels of various aluminum-copper (including aluminum alloy) fuel furnaces in mechanical industrial enterprises. Aluminum melting fuel furnaces are divided into special, first, second and third grades according to the comparable unit consumption per ton of metal charge. Those with comparable unit consumption that does not reach the third grade index are classified as out-of-grade. This standard was first issued on March 5, 1988. This standard is a revision of ZBJ01018-88 "Energy Consumption Classification of Fuel Furnaces for Aluminum Melting". Editorial modifications were made to the original standard during the revision, and the main technical content remained unchanged.
This standard replaces ZBJ01018-88 from the date of implementation. This standard was proposed and managed by the Mechanical Science Research Institute. The drafting units of this standard are: the Fifth Design Institute of the former State Machinery Committee and the Energy Conservation Center of the Ministry of Machinery Industry. The main drafters of this standard are: Lin Faxiang, Gao Jingtao, Wu Derong, and Sui Fengtong. This standard was first issued in 1988.

For aluminum-melting fuel furnaces that are heated solely by hot coal gas, the comparable unit consumption index is multiplied by the pressure-fire coefficient of Q75 during the first shift; the pressure-fire coefficient is multiplied by 0.85 during the second shift; the pressure-fire coefficient is 1 for the third shift. 4 Boiler Assessment
The second-class and third-class boilers are allowed to be assessed as a group of furnaces. The comparable unit consumption index of the group of furnaces is the same as the comparable unit consumption index of the corresponding grades in Table 1, but the first-class furnaces, reverberatory furnaces and vertical furnaces of the boiler must be assessed as a single furnace2||tt ||People's Republic of China
